I haven't been in winter, but this property felt to us like Steamboat Springs itself: more outdoors, fun, and human than the stereotypical ski destination. Staff was warm and helpful, but also relaxed. Building was not quite at today's standard of convenience and style, but perfectly comfortable and actually a better environment to relax in with close friends and family than a glitzier plsce would have been.
Honestly, the only things that bothered us at all were, I suspect, responsibility of the individual unit owner. I didn't know they still made Mr Coffee type machines. I do know they don't make decent coffee. Similarly, it seems chintzy to stock a "sleeps 7" condo with so few plates, bowls, and glasses, some of them chipped. The biggest annoyance for our group, which likes to cook simple meals together, was the dullest collection of cheap knives i have ever seen--even as a ooor kid growing up in a trailer.
