The access to this building's parking lot is through the construction area. Access to the parking lot for this condo is to be maintained by the construction company doing the parking lot next door, but delays are possible. Fortunately, this codo has zero windows or walls facing the construction, so noise should not be much of an issue, or not an issue at all.**

For those looking for a recently renovated ski in property, search no more. This Storm Meadows at Christie Base unit brought to you by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a step up from the rest. The condo faces the ski mountain so guests can watch as skiers come down the runs or once the mountain closes, they can take in the serenity of the silent slopes. The owners have upgraded the space so that is contemporary yet cozy. Guests will find new luxury vinyl flooring that replaced the old worn carpeting still found in many of the Storm Meadows units. A California King in the bedroom will assure that anyone staying in this unit has enough space and gets a good nights sleep. The kitchen is stocked with everything a guest might need to prepare a great meal, either dinner by crockpot or something more elaborate on the flattop electric stove. There are games and flatscreen tv's to help guests unwind after a day skiing or to just enjoy a lazy rest day hanging out around the condo.
The Property: When entering the condo, you'll find an open floor plan and no stairs in the home. The kitchen is directly to your right, living room straight ahead and a coat closet to your left. A small bench is available so it's easy to take off and on one's shoes without performing an elaborate balancing act. A well stocked kitchen is important for any short term rental, this home is no exception. There's the standard fridge, stove, oven, microwave and also a crockpot, blender, stainless steel drip coffee maker, toaster, etc. Our housekeepers leave basic spices in the cupboards so you shouldn't have to worry about bringing your own salt and pepper. In terms of dining, we have both an island in the kitchen with two bar stools and a dining table with expansion leaves which can seat 4 people. In the living room there is a very comfortable Queen sized sleeper sofa. The bedroom has a California King, a stand alone A/C unit, an HDTV and it's own entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo.
Location: Storm Meadows at Christie Base has a great location year round. It's only a few hundred yards from Ski Time Square, an area bustling with activity in both winter and summer. In the summer guests can hike or bike directly from the unit onto miles of Routt National Forest trails. In the winter the access is equally great with this ski in/out location. Coming home for lunch is an easy option with this location, just head down the Right O Way ski trail and veer right onto the Storm Meadows Ski In Access trail.
Arrival, Access, and Parking: Once you book, we're here to support you. There are zero stairs between the parking lot and the building entrance. Once inside, you can take the elevator or stairs down one floor to the condo. If you'll have a vehicle, the parking is an outdoor lot and spaces are not assigned. There is one parking spot available for this unit. Great place in Steamboat
Good location and well appointed condo. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Made breakfast and lunches each day and went out for dinner. Very clean and well stocked. Walk out to ski but ski in right from Right O Way. Very convenient. Our coffee machine was leaking on the first day and they replaced with a new one right away. Very responsive.

Property manager was of no help anxx DC the check in process in definitely in need of updated lock boxes that are WAY easier to operate! The choine of the color of flooring in the living area made it tough - as the rack that was provided did not allow the possibility of keeping the salt residue from messing up the floor. We loved location and the utensils available in the kitchen so we could cook dinners!

This unit is not as described. Too many issues to list here but to name a few: there is no a/c and the portable unit does not operate properly as it is badly clogged and blows hot air out of the back and smells like it is burning; the satellite TV does not work despite all efforts at rebooting router, etc.; there are no ceiling fans as listed in the description; no Roku as listed; items are broken (lamps), stained (rugs) and in disrepair. I have been working with Mountain Vacation lodging since June 13 and there is still no resolution on my refund request. We were in this unit less than one hour and had to leave to go to a hotel. To say there are concierge services as per the listing is truly laughable. Two stars for communication as the weekend staff was as helpful as they could be; however there are no supervisors on duty over the weekend in a mountain town for a rental company.

The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had ample towels. The locations was convenient.
I was disappointed that the ammenities listed in the posting were not correct. It claimed to have air conditioning. I had to call the property manager to locate a portable unit. It was locked in the owener's closet. Once I retrieved the unit, it blew cool air; however, the heat from the exhaust out the rear of the unit made the bedroom hotter and water leaked out of the back on the unit onto the floor. This was very disappointing because I chose this unit because of the AC listing. There was no ceiling fan, which was also listed. The satellite did not work. Total signal loss. I have this provider so I am familiar with how to work this receiver. The tub/shower drain was slow, leaving water standing above the ankles when finished.
I would recommend this unit for a winter stay; however, if I were to return in the summer, I would chose another location.

Great spot. Roomy. Comfortable beds. Good amount of amenities. Really great location to the mountain convenient ski-in. Travel time total from exit to gondola is about ten minutes. Great ski locker access. Photos of unit had pictures of laundry in unit but laundry is in the building. Shuttles would not take us to condo because we rented from VRBO instead of from the mountain directly. It’s an uphill walk at night from the transit center. Not terrible just hard after apres.

On the slopes (practically no walking to reach the slope leading to the base - you can even have lunch there instead of paying $12 for a bowl of chili on the mountain), nice view of the slopes, well equipped. It’s a small unit - 590 sq feet - in an old building but decently maintained. Rather small balcony facing the slopes. Minuscule outdoor spa that you reach by walking in parking lot. No gym. Ski and boot locker. Main drawback is no shuttle: you need to take the (free) city bus to go downtown or grocery store. It’s a 5-7 minute walk.

Perfect Ski Weekend
We had an amazing weekend skiing in Steamboat and being able to stay in a clean, well equipped, ski-in/walk out condo was amazing! The hosts provided extensive resources ahead of time to assist us in our check in and check out as well as things to do around town. Being able to ski in at the end of a long day and put our gear in a locker on the ground floor was such a relief. Additionally, we had a beautiful view of the mountain from the bedroom window. Would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone staying in Steamboat to ski or visit the resort.

Great place but the listing is misleading
Our trip was great. Honestly, the location cannot be beat. It’s truly and ski in ski out. The condo itself is cute and cozy. Most importantly, it was CLEAN and it was fully stocked. There were a few things to note though:
The fireplace was NOT there. The HOA had removed it. We talked to the management and they were AMAZING. They immediately brought over supplies to block the hole so we didn’t have cold air coming through the hole left by the fireplace. The problem was, it was still in the listing when we booked our stay and it was one of the main reasons we chose that specific condo.
The listing also states that the is a Roku system. There was not.
Please note that the laundry machines only take quarters. Something that is also not mentioned in the listing.
The hot tub looks a lot nicer in the photos than it does in person but it’s still better than nothing.
Overall, we had a great time, as always, the condos look better in pictures but being clean, it made it a lot better. They just need to update this listing so it’s accurate. The management was really nice and helpful and the checking in process they use is really handy.

Mountain vacation lodging is not equipped for long term stays. Over my 10 night stay, my keys stopped working twice and my car almost got towed from inappropriate parking pass. I also felt like they had accessed my unit a few times while I was away. Do not recommend for long stays. Beautiful property, owners should consider other management companies.

Cute place, great location
Great little place, perfect for us and our 23 yo daughter. I stayed in the condo most of the week while hubby and daughter skied. Shopping is an easy walk down the hill, and the balcony overlooks the runs by Thunderhead Lodge. It was nice to sit on the balcony and watch night skiing. The kitchen was full service and had everything you need for meals of any kind. I cooked 3 nights and we ate out 3. The bed and sofa bed were super comfy. We slept very well. Only downsides were that we couldn’t figure out the fireplace and the mgmt company didn’t know either. Not sure if they ever contacted the host. Also the tv was not connected to internet so I couldn’t log into my Netflix acct. Overall a great place and would stay again with our little family of 3. I would not recommend 4 people unless 2 are young children.

My family loved this spot for our ski vacation. Easy to ski right to the building at the end of the day, and it wasn’t too far to walk out to the hill and then ski down to the gondola when going out to ski. We couldn’t figure out how to turn on the fireplace at first, but figured it out with some further instruction via email with the property manager, who was very responsive.
