Old Town Family Fun
We just returned from the best week spent at Old Town Hideaway. This was our first time visiting Steamboat Springs and we absolutely loved our stay. This property was perfect for our family and it was close enough to walk to all the great shops and restaurants in town. We did not even need a rental car. We will miss our daily walks to the coffee shop and market, as well as the very comfortable beds and living room couch. The perfect family rental to experience the charm of Old Town. We preferred this area and rental property to anything on the mountain. We were able to get anywhere we wanted to go within minutes, but enjoyed the peaceful nature of our location. Karin was an amazing host and always available for questions. We will be back!

Construction & no heat controls
Great location and unit. Not so great was the after 5pm construction and inability to control the heat in the unit without having to text the owner who adjusted it to a reasonable temperature but it wasn't under our control. Heater seemed to turn on constantly and could be heard in the bedroom and kitchen. It was noisy enought ot be distracting and keep you awake or wake you up.

Great place and great host!
This place did not disappoint. It was perfect for my husband and I....location is really pretty good as we could walk to anything downtown. She does tell you that there is foot traffic to the dance studio and it does get noisy but it is NEVER during a time you would be trying to sleep. And with the TV on you don't really hear it. It was not a bother to us at all! GREAT place and we WILL return!

Perfect Steamboat location!
The apartment was spotless and cozy. It was equipped with everything you need from spices to plenty of trash bags, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. We loved that everything was within walking distance and we could just stop for coffee or a cocktail with a view of the river. There are several mountain biking trails that my husband enjoyed. Karin was a great host and we would definitely return!

Great little spot in heart of downtown!
We had a great stay at the Hideaway! We walked everyone: to dinner, the river, the rodeo, bike shop, shopping and the park. The hideaway stayed cool despite summer heat- was a nice retreat at end of the day! The neighboring business (inc the dance studio) never bothered us and was actually a fun way to feel like you were “part of local steamboat” for a few days.

Loved it!
Although it is listed as an apt., it felt like a separate ground floor unit. There were only 2 of us so it had plenty of space. The bedroom was very big and the bathroom was spacious too. I really loved how well stocked the kitchen was….nice pots and pans etc. Also, plenty of paper towels and T.P. Everything was super organized. It was also very easy to communicate with the property owner.
The apt was located at the edge of town so walking down the Main Street was super easy. It’s also 2 blocks from the Old Town Hot Springs, which includes a full gym, lap pool and hot springs. I thoroughly enjoyed that. My husband enjoyed the fishing that was walking distance from the apt. Would definitely rent it again.

Perfect place to stay in Steamboat
What a perfect place to stay in downtown Steamboat. So comfortable with everything we needed. Lovely linens and decor, fully stocked kitchen. A 2 minute walk to the hot springs and Natural Grocers and also so many excellent restuarants close by. Great hiking is also close by... highly recommend the Spring Creek Trail and Uranium mine trail. Having a dedicated covered parking space is also a big plus during the winter months. Karin is an excellent host. Highly recommend the Old Town Hidaway.

The Amazing Boat
We come to Steamboat every winter for a ski retreat and this time was incredibly special because of the amount of snow and the beautiful (I would say perfect) weather.
Our accommodation, Old Town Hideaway apartment, was perfect for us in so many ways.
It’s was at a perfect location allowing us to park our car in the carport, allowing us to not have to drive anywhere and keeping it free from snow each night. The apartment is one block from town so we could walk everywhere or catch a bus to get to the slopes.
Old Town had comfortable rooms, 3 separate areas to read, watch TV or enjoy a meal in the fully stocked kitchen. The bedroom was lovely and the King bed one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in. I am very picky about my sleeping accommodations and I was very pleased with the room and bed.
Lastly, our host Karin was quick to respond to our questions and requests. She is definitely the kind of host you want when you are on vacation. 😃
