The hotel is near taxi stand and near lake it is on walking distance from restaurants and city life, it is a good quality hotel with excellent breakfast (special coffee and omelet service) the room facilities are good but a safe would be nice in all rooms,

Stayed there overnight and great location near waterfront

The location simply cannot be beat. It is an easy walk to the water and all of the Stavanger nightlife. The room was nice and clean. A fruit plate on the first night was a nice touch. Ate one meal in the restaurant, and it was good, although a bit overpriced even by Stavanger standards. Only annoyance was that at the hotel bar, you cannot order any kind of food. You have to leave the hotel and go to a larger bar attached to the hotel, with an entrance on the side. However, I would most definitely stay here again.

My visit was for business purpose, the hotel has an excellent location in city center looking out over the lake, top location, everything: shops, restaurants, seaport on walking distance. the staff is pleasant, rooms are clean and equipped. There are few points for improvement: the bar of all 3 hotels in area close at 23h, the room service is not available on Sunday evening and the room does not have a safe for valuables storage (I think this is minimum for top hotels). One positive point the breakfast room is excellent with staff preparing special coffee at request.

I would definitely stay here again! Nice comfortable room, upgraded to business class room, with great view of the city. Delicious breakfast served in the dining room every morning included with the room. Airport shuttle drops off and picks up right in front of the hotel. No need to get a rental car as everything in Stavanger is within walking distance.

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend, booking the room at the last minute. The location was convenient to everything and the view was just like the website shows with the lake and the fountain in the foreground and the tidy buildings in the background, The room was large, the bed was comfortable the bathroom had a tub and everything was very clean. The breakfast included with the stay had fresh food prepared nicely in a large well appointed dining room. There is a cozy bar where one can relax. The desk staff was courteous and helpful, letting us check in early and providing advice on where to eat. The airport bus shuttle drops off passengers right in front of the hotel and you can also return to the airport easily because the bus stops in front of the hotel for the return trip also. Overall, an excellent place to stay.

I spent two nights in Stavanger at the Radisson Blu this summer with my girlfriend and we had a great experience with both the hotel and friendly staff. We were upgraded to the business class rooms for free when signing up for the Radisson Rewards program (free), which i highly recommend as the upgraded room was great. The hotel itself is located in an ideal spot with perfect views of the nearby park and is a mere 3-5 minute walk to the more lively "downtown" area with rows of bars and clubs near the waterfront. We also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that was included in our stay. The breakfast was set up as an extensive buffet and was the perfect way to fuel up for a long day of hiking to the Preikestolen or many of the other day trips along the fjords. If you are driving, I believe the hotel does have a certain limited number of parking spots reserved for their guests, but the spots are very limited and we ended up having to pay for parking in a garage a few minutes away. That being said, the parking garage was fairly inexpensive (~100 NOK per day if i recall) so this was not too much of an issue. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We visited Stavanger for business for my husband. The location of the hotel is great...2 blocks from the port, shopping and dining spots. It is across from lovely lake. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was small but adequate. There are no "frills" but all essentials are there.

Very good & varied buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms with great views.

While I was there, I worked and tried many of the fine restaurants in the area. The hotel was very central to Stavanger and offered great opportunity to many restaurants and shops. I checked out early to stay with a friend. I would have appreciated a refund eventhough I prepaid.
