Clarion Collection Hotel Skagen Brygge

The Skagen Brygge is located right on the harbour in Stavanger and is handy for the city highlights. The rooms are fairly small but clean and comfortable. There are seats outside the hotel where you can sit and have a drink while watching boats coming and going or people strolling by. There is parking in the parking house next door and the cost is about NOK 200 pe r24 hours. The hotel has a comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff and a cozy feel. Breakfast is good and dinner is free. having said that there is a dinner buffet for guests. The choice is not vast .and the quality is average but, hey, it's free so no complaints. A handy reasonably priced comfortable hotel in Stavanger.

The hotel is perfectly located at the harbor, very convenient to reach fjord boats. There is a parking building close by so it is easy to park. We arrived there at Friday night and the harbor was closed to cars (only pedestrians were ok to pass) because of the crowd at the bars, we asked policemen for help and they let us pass. If this happens to you, just talk with the police, they are very helpful. The rooms are good and clean. The personnel is very friendly. They offer a complimentary 3 course dinner. We were going to arrive late at night and asked them to keep the dinner for us. When we arrived around midnight, the receptionist served us food even including the desert (she warmed it up, so it was hot)! Wonderful service! And the food was good (way too better than we expected). I do really recommend Clarion Collection Hotel Skagen for your stays at Stavanger.

This is a really conventintly located and attractive clapper board multi storeyed hotel in Stavanger. The décor is tasteful and very Scandinavian. As others have noted, you are directly on the quayside and cruise ship cabins can be in line of sight! But this adds to the charm. A wonderful, hot, power shower and fabulous, plentiful, great tasting food on offer morning and evening. It strikes me as Scandinavian/East Asian fusion and the flavours work really well together. There is a great gluten free dedicated section to the buffet with sesame seed crackers to die for. And the gluten free bread is very passable. You will be hard pressed to beat the sumptuous breakfasts and there is so much lovely fresh fruit to choose from. Next door is a steak house and I think there was a discount for occupants of the hotel. You then have a choice of more bars and restaurants than you can shake a stick at. Each Thursday there is live, well supported music on the quayside and I was entertained by great, well Viking Rock really. Trips to the Pulpit Rock and fjords are literally on your doorstep and there is a delightful park with boating lake a short stroll away.

Nice Hotel, nice view. I was in this Hotel often and I like to come back again as soon as possible. Good breakfast, nice diner and big rooms. Rooms are clean too. I only can say, come, see and enjoy your time.

Very friendly, helpful & welcoming check in . We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the water, very clean with all amenities, robes etc. We really enjoyed Stavanger - turn right out of the hotel & right after a while to find a lovely street with colourful buildings with bars & cafes. Borrowed an umbrella;they were plentiful( unlike Clarion in Bergen) Stavanger was noisy at night with lots of revelry - we were there over a weekend. But it didn't bother us, good to hear people enjoying themselves. We went on the Lysefjord cruise - 2 1/2 hours, just the right amount of time. Enjoyed it. We popped back to the hotel to try the afternoon snacks - make your own pancakes with cream & jam . We ate out , but returned later to sit outside & enjoy a coffee & the desert from the evening buffet. Breakfast was good quality & lots of choice , appalling coffee from the machine, but we find this to be the same at all our Norway hotels. Hot water for tea not even good. Would suggest coffee sachets & boiling water facility. Would return & recommend.

The front desk staff at check in and out was amazing- very friendly, helpful and always willing to assist with any queries. The location was great. Love that they have both breakfast and evening meals available to guests. The only downside was that when we were getting ready to check out at 11am(checkout is 12pm), housekeeping just opened the door while we were getting ready.

Yes, it might be, as some earlier visitors say, that this hotel needs some upgrading and refurbishing, but the friendly and cozy atmosphere in the walls of this hotel is much more apparent than the weary furniture and carpets. And that counts for me! Also, I loved the fact that there were snacks in the breakfast restaurant that I could help myself with while I did some "paperwork" in the early evening, waiting for a late night dinner with business colleagues. The room I had was small, but with a nice view of the water, the bathroom was nice, light and new, and all in all the room had everything I needed for a 24-hour work stay in Stavanger. And VERY nice and friendly staff at all times! They must have been trained well :-)

It’s always good to arrive at Skagen Brygge Hotel. You are always met by a friendly atmosphere by the staff in reception. The rooms are clean and very good. And the location for the hotel are just perfect if your doing are in the centre of Stavanger. Can recommend the hotel on the warmest.

Lovely Hotel with lovely rooms and Nice view located in the center of the city close to the harbour. For shopping and exploring Stavanger city it's just perfect . The service is perfect and the breakfast great .

This was my first stay in this hotel, actually in this chain, so had no idea what to expect. It is a decent business hotel. The room and the bathroom were small but adequate for one person. The location of the hotel is good. You can walk to old town and there are some places around to hotel to eat. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. Overall, o good stay.
