This Hotel was excellent . Very clean, great location, breakfast was very good . They also offer a dinner included in the price of the room which was very convenient for us. The view from the room were amazing. There were many places to eat or go ion the same street of the Hotel.
I have given an extra star for accommodating staff and the location. I am in a wheelchair in a noisy disabled room with only one pillow on the bed, no water tea or coffee facility, no phone to call room service or front desk to rectify these issues, no way to call anyone in an emergency, no pull cords in case I fall in the shower, no handles on the wall of the shower for stability. No gym. We were forced to pay for dinner in the room rate when we don’t want it and asked specifically for B&B only - there is only one dish on the menu & we want to eat out (why would you do that when customers don’t want it?). I also paid for my team to stay here as I thought it a treat. We still have to stay here another two nights and no-one wants to. I am embarrassed and we are all disappointed. I have been coming to Skagen Brygge for 20 years. I will not be back.
atmosphere is the key to this hotel! right on the Harbour with nice view (even on the back, the view is on an old Street...). big rooms with comfortable beds. forniture and ornaments are a delightful nordic style. very pleasant fireplace in the hall and reading room. good breakfast and dinner (we found a better choice and variety of food here than in a Clarion hotel in Oslo!). small but nice gym inside. short walk from old lovely stavanger
Back again after a dissapointing stay last time, this time everything was the way we want it to be! Nice room with harbour view, lovely staff, good breakfast and even a free evening meal. There was also a «Christmas gift» on our room, very nice. Still the best location in town, we will be back!
Stayed for three nights in single room with great view across the harbour to Old Stavanger. Great location in central Stavanger, only disturbed by some street noise Saturday night. Very helpful staff both at front desk and in breakfast room. The breakfast is fresh and delicious with wide range of choices, both warm and cold. The hotel is very clean.
The hotel rooms in two of its 5 sections are being renovated. The view over the Harbour and old Stavanger is delightful, although a very large boat with engine running all night parked directly outside for 24 hours affecting breeze and sleep was not in the plan. The dining room is adequate. The Clarion Collection experience is to provide afternoon pancakes, buffet breakfast and an evening meal in the daily tariff.
Nice frontdesk, but because of renovations: bad small, no view, noice etc. Just a sorrie for that, but you should compensate people especially when you are from the euro zone this was the most expensive hotel ever without any luxory in the room, not even a telephone...
As always feeling like home, everyone you meet is serviceminded in a natural way, and as said a home away from home. The included food are really good, as everything else. Everything right in the hart of the harbor and city center, walking distance to all.
Spent a night here, great location and super evening meal. The hotel has ok rooms, a little noisy from the street but that stops around 1100 p.m The staff is very service minded and always with a smile. The evening buffet is great, no need to go out for dinner. The hotel is under renovation so I look forward to come back. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
We arrived in Stavanger after an 18 hour journey and checked into this hotel, booked by our travel agent. We were surprised to find the hotel under renovation, yet did not blink, as we were all exhausted and our two rooms (family of five) appeared to meet our basic needs. The clerk at the front desk was very pleasant and recommended a fabulous restaurant (Skagen Restaurant) a few doors away. We went to bed with at our water-front facing windows ajar, allowing the fresh sea breeze to flow in. Soon the windows had to be closed due to the loud sounds of the active nightlife along the same street as our hotel. By 4 am the partiers finally went home and we reopened our windows. An hour later we heard some clanging and banging and closed our windows again. The curtains did not keep the light out of the room, so we put on our eye masks and finally fell asleep. At 8 am we had to get up to meet our guide and we were shocked to open the curtains and see an enormous cruise ship parked right outside our window and some people on their balcony looking back at us. Did I mention the curtains that didn't close all the way? We dressed discretely, quickly packed up and left the room. The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure was excellent, the dining room is nicely decorated, however even though I was completely exhausted, I hardly got any sleep. This hotel did not meet our expectations and was not a good start to our family vacation in Norway.
