Super 8 Stamford/New York City Area

Staff was very nice. They have to upgrade to queen beds. Washing clothes was horrible. Only one dryer was working and you have to keep putting money so the clothes can dry.

The hotel was clean. Needs a little cosmetic TLC, but overall, a great place to sleep after a day trip and concert. Bed was super comfy!

Stayed at this hotel overnight while on a road trip. Upon entering the hotel lobby we encountered a bad smell, probably some sort of cleaner, that followed us to our room nearby. We had to keep the air conditioning on all night so as to keep filtering the air as best we could. Would have asked to change rooms but we arrived very late at night and it was the last one.

But in a questionable neighborhood. A little run down. But for the price it'll do. Wifi was pretty good. Basic super 8.

We were visiting Brooklyn for one event. Didn't want to overpay for local hotels. It took us an hour to get to the place from the hotel. So we liked it.

State of hotel was poor, front desk clerk was rude. Breakfast was well below average!

The hotel was adequate but somewhat shabby. Minial amenities. However, it is close to the turnpike.

The only positive comment I have is that the hotel was in the right location. Everything was dirty, starting with trash in the parking lot. Breakfast was available but the area was too dirty to eat in.

Standard near airport hotel. Free shuttle from jfk was handy and prompt. service was great and the people working there were happy and helpful.

A bit rundown and in a tough area. About right for the price range and if you have no intention of spending a lot of time in the room. Sleep, shower and move on.

Hotel was clean but shabby. Smelled cigarette smoke in the hallways and in elevator..

Bed bugs in room.? Attack by bugs the next day. Room nice but next day bites.

A little ways from downtown. Fine for a one night stay but if I was staying longer in Stamford I would opt for one of the downtown hotels where the area and amenities are much nicer.

So when we arrived it was midnight, and I had my 7 year old sleeping in my arms, a heavy backpack of our necessities, a blanket and two stuffies for the sleeping angel...there were 2 people already at the counter when we arrived who were drunk or high, and wouldn't let the front desk guy check us in. He even asked her to please hold on a moment so he could check us in, which I greatly appreciated, but the gal was rude and would not let us go. When it was our turn, I had payed via paypal & was asked for a credit card or $50, which I wasnt expecting at all. I didnt have the back muscle strength to argue so i forked over what little cash i had and went to our room. After we finally got checked in (about 15-20 min), the drunk or high girl and her friends were running up and down the halls, standing outside our room hollaring and partying all night long. My son didnt wake up, so I tried to bury the sound in some music. We were out of there less than 7 hours later. The room was clean and I would recommend it for a quick stop on a long trip when you only need a clean bed to sleep in.

We needed a hotel around Stamford and this one fit the bill. It was clean, had the basics and breakfast was free. For Sleeping it was great.

Although false claims in the "Overview" and "Amenities" sections lead you to believe the hotel is a great value, this hotel is proof that you get what you pay for. For example, the Overview clearly states: "The rooms are equipped with modern conveniences including microwaves, refrigerators..." However, there was neither a microwave nor a refrigerator in the room (which, by the way, were the selling points that made me choose this as a pitstop on a long road trip over the other area hotels). Further, the various claims about "complimentary Wi-Fi" are a farce. There was no "complimentary Wi-Fi" available and when we asked about it at the front desk, the clerk pointed to two HARDWIRED desktops and said "that's our Wi-Fi," which meant that I could not sit in the privacy (not comfort) of my room to use my own laptop to login to my company servers and do my work. Wi-Fi and hardwired computers are not synonymous. The room itself was reminiscent of a bad experience I had on a family vacation in the '80s: stains on the bed spread AND blanket; a bathroom that looked rundown and made creepy noises all night - frankly, straight out of a horror movie; an unidentifiably bad odor; and pillows that were so extremely lumpy that I would swear they must have been thrown in a machine machine for 20 years straight, except that they still reeked of previous occupants' unwashed hair. I can honestly say that had I not been exhausted from driving 8 hours in pouring rain and had it not been close to midnight when I got to the hotel, I would have demanded a refund and found another, cleaner place to stay or just slept in my car. But instead, I crashed for a few hours and left as soon as possible.

Got there around 1130 pm entry way is ok there was a spill no one cleaned up by the vending machine . We stayed on the first floor . Room outdated my bf complained about the sheets smelling like urine I couldnt smell it . only stayed bc I was to tired to drive an hour home .

I didn't 't want to spend much to catch a little shut-eye on a quick trip, so booked the cheapest spot I could find near Greenwich. Super 8 fit the bill. I wasn't expecting much. The place is old and a bit run-dow -- especially the common areas, but I didn't care. The room actually had more amenities than expected: free wifi, fridge, microwave, large TV, coffee pot, and ironing board in every room. Didn't use any of that, but a nice surprise. Stuff I did care about: The bed was very comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient. On the down side (for me), there aren't many hotels that allow smoking. Thus is one of them. I was in a non-smoking room. But if you are sensitive to smoke, you will still smell it.

The carpet looked like it had blood on it. The reclining chair would not even had been accepted by goodwill. Stayed for one night after concert in Port Chester, NY.

This hotel was not the cleanest place.I only stayed one night i give it a low rating.
