Too bad 5 stars is the most one can give. This property deserves 10. By far the most comfortable and best appointed place I rented on vrbo in a long time.A word of caution: it is very secluded with no dining or shopping options in walking distance. But then again, if you're looking at it shopping is most likely not your priority anyway.HIGHLY recommended if you're looking to relax in the middle of nowhere.

I absolutely loved the area that this stay is in. Beautiful landscape, beautiful property, and makes you feel very peaceful being in the mountains. I will say, we made the mistake of not coming to this location with a car but we were able to walk it from the gondolas.

Loved it!

We enjoyed staying in Lodge 1891 very much. It’s a peaceful, immaculate, tastefully remodeled property with many well thought out functional details and absolutely breathtaking views. The little Swiss house I will never forget

I will never in life forget my experience at Marina’s house in the mountains. The drive is not for the faint of heart but my friend and I loved it so much. The details in the home are incredible. The shower, kitchen, and all accommodations were immaculate. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting a true Swiss alpine experience from the moment you arrive. Incredible home.

Wer das echte Berggefûhl (schon bei der Anfahrt über die Serpentinen auf oft nur einspurigem Weg) erleben möchte; wer Abgeschiedenheit nicht automatisch als Langeweile erlebt; wer in einer Berghütte auf eine gute Dusche, eine sehr gut ausgestattete Miele-Küche (Spühlmaschine, Induktionsherd, Waschmachine alle Zubehör) und einen historische Kachelofen nicht verzichten will; wer einen warmen, persönlichen Empfang in einer kleinen (absolut gay friendly, können wir aus Erfahrung bestätigen) Dorfgemeinschaft erleben möchte , wer den sehr leckeren, selbst erzeugten Wein der Vermieterin geniessen möchte; wer beim Wandern Gemsen und Dachse sehen möchte; oder wer einfach einige entspannte Tage in Matterhornnähe erleben möchte - dies ist die perfekte(!) Das urige Chalet ist ganz schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und top ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Marina hat für uns die Heizung eingeschaltet, so dass wir es wollig nach der Ankunft warm hatten. Danke für die Fürsorge und rund um Betreuung. Der Kontakt war einwandfrei.Wir hatten ein tolles Wochenende in Riedji gehabt.

Desconexió total. Si t'agrada la naturalesa aquest es el teu lloc. La casa té de tot i l'equipació es superior (cuina etc.). Reformat amb molt de gust. La rebuda molt bona i amb molta flexibilitat. L'unic punt d'una casa antiga es que es senten els veïns de sobre. Tornariem encantats.

Ein ruhiger, beschaulicher Weiler in den Bergen

Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen wurden. Ein kleiner abgelegener und ruhiger Weiler mit Blick über den Ort. Spektakulär! Die Vermieter sind sehr angenehm, haben sich für uns Zeit genommen und gern Auskunft über die Region oder mögliche Touren gegeben.

Eine Ferienwohnung zum Erholen. Sauber, reichhaltig eingerichtet, funktional, modern und großzügig. Die Vermieterin war immer um eine optimale Kommunikation bemüht. Ein Ort zum träumen und Ruhe genießen

Schon die Anreise ist sehenswert, die Gegend, der Ausblick, traumhaft. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr schön, außen nostalgisch und innen top modern. Alles, was es braucht, um sich rundum wohl zu fühlen, ist vorhanden. Auf jeden Fall eine zweiten Besuch wert, ich kann die Gegend und im speziellen die Unterkunft, nur empfehlen.

Wunderbar

Uns hat der Aufenthalt in der Lodge 1891 ausserordentlich gut gefallen. Das Haus ist wirklich toll eingerichtet, es mangelt an nichts, insbesondere die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet und der Ofen gibt wunderbar warm. Der Empfang der Gastgeberin ist sehr herzlich und der Weiler sehr schön.

Wunderbarer Alpenurlaub

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in der wunderschönen Wohnung, die Natur und den Aufenthalt in Riedji sehr genossen. Durch die Nähe zu Marina und ihrer Schwester verlief die Kommunikation reibungslos. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr modern und komfortabel eingerichtet, spiegelt aber auch den Charme der Vergangenheit wider. Sehr zu empfehlen und auch wir kommen gerne wieder.

Absolute Bergidylle ohne Tourismus

Bei der Lodge 1891 handelt es sich um ein Holzhaus aus dem Baujahr 1891. Es wurde vor ca. 3 Jahren innen sehr schön renoviert. Die Matratzen der Betten waren sehr gut, nicht durchgelegen, die Erlebnisdusche vermutet man nicht auf 1.600 mtr. Höhe. Die Küche ist ebenfalls sehr modern eingerichtet, ein Induktionsherd, ein Backofen mit integriertem Dampfgarer, eine Spülmaschine und letztendlich eine Waschmaschine bringen einen entsprechenden Luxus in die Bergwelt. Der Weiler Riedji besteht aus ca. 15 Holzhütten, die teilweise vermietet und teilweise von den Eigentümern selbst als Sommerdomizil genutzt werden. Wer absolute Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist hier richtig. Die Vielzahl der Wanderwege gehen teilweise direkt an der Hütte vorbei und sind gut mit Wegweisern ausgeschildert. Die Anfahrt nach Riedji ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und sehr interessant. Nach der Abfahrt in Stalden am Zementwerk zieht sich die enge Straße ca. 10 km in diversen Serpentinen und engen Kurven auf die ca. 1.600 mtr. Meereshöhe. Alle Fahrer der entgegenkommenden Fahrzeuge waren sehr zuvorkommend und jeder versuchte genügend Platz zu machen. Das Vermieterehepaar ist sehr nett und hiflsbereit. Wir hatten einen passenden Adapterstecker vergessen und erhielten vom Vermieter umgehend einen passenden Stecker geliefert. Trotz etwas Regen konnten wir schöne Wanderungen machen und abends den gemütlichen Holzofen anfeuern. Wir fühlten uns, auch mit unseren 2 Hunden, sehr willkommen.

Wunderschöne Tage im Wallis

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen von Marina. Das Chalet ist ein Traum und sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet und eingerichtet. Für unsere Hunde standen bereits schon Trink-und Fressnäpfe bereit. Im Chalet ist alles vorhanden, die Küche ist neuwertig und gut ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer ist ebenso neu und hat eine geräumige Regendusche, Wellness-Feeling nach einer Wanderung. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind mit einer Infrarot-Heizung ausgestattet, eine kuschlige Atmosphäre, gerade wenn die Abende/Nächte etwas kühler sind. Eines der Highlights ist der Ofen im Wohnraum von 1891. Wir haben tolle Ausflugtipps von Marina erhalten und haben die Zeit und die herrliche Natur in vollen Zügen genossen. Familienurlaub

Wenn man Erholung und Ruhe sucht, ist das ein sehr schöner Ort. Wunderschöne Aussichten - ein Ort zum Wandern. Die Wohnung war sehr einladend und sehr gut eingerichtet. Inneneinrichtung modern, außen ist das Haus noch original erhalten aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Die Küche ist top, fehlt an nichts. Die Marina (Besitzerin) ist eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Person. Wir haben uns sofort wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Auch die Einwohner von dem Dorf sind sehr offen und freundlich. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, ein Ort wo man gerne wieder kommt. Liebe Grüße Fam. Ferienwohnung auf oben in Stalden

Obwohl wir mit 3 Stunden Verspätung angereist sind wurden wir von Frau Arnold sehr freundlich begrüßt. Die Lage der Wohnung ist einmalig mit Blick auf die hohen Berge. Sehr ruhig,ideal zum Bergwandern oder einfach nur zum Entspannen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und perfekt ausgestattet auch ein Spitzenkoch hätte sein Freude. Grandios!

Wir sind eine Familie mit zwei Jungs in Pubertärem Alter und einem Hund. Zuvor waren wir noch nie in den Bergen in den Ferien! Der Ort, das Haus, die Aussicht und die Gastgeber haben uns vollends überzeugt, und wir werden definitiv wieder gehen. Im Haus wird das Erdgeschoss vermietet. Klein, enthällt aber alles für 4 Personen. Die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet, mit allem benötigtem Zubehör. Die Zimmer sind klein aber praktisch eingerichtet. Wohnzimmer ist gross genug um auch einen verregneten Tag drinnen verbringen zu können. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine wunderschöne, breite Dusche. Alles in allem Perfekte Wohnung in wunderschöner Umgebung.

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen und Wohlfühlen. Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten! Die Wohnung ist perfekt, richtig liebevoll und modern eingerichtet. Sie ist sauber, gemütlich und hat Charme. Die Gastgeberin hat uns herzlichst empfangen und auch persönlich verabschiedet. Diese freundliche und wertschätzende Art spürt man auch in der Einrichtung und Pflege der Wohnung. Das „Sein“ und Nichtstun fällt nicht schwer.
