Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort

The hotel provided great access to the multiple pools and a great large beach! Restaurant options on the property offered variety. The location cannot be beat with easy access to ferries to other islands. Hotel does still need some updating but know they are in midst of this now, We had a great time and truly enjoyed our vacation.

Over all nice property, $20 cab ride to anything you wanted to do, and $20 back. Beach was to far.

Great family trip. Friendly staff. Great food. Hotel shops had great souvenirs, all necessities. We enjoyed eating at CocoJoes on the beach.

It was simply the BEST!! Super close, and private beach. Beautiful site. Strengthened our marriage.

Frenchmens Reef has wow factor. It is stunningly beautiful. It sits up on a cliff and the views are spectacular ! The rooms are large and comfortable. They greet you in the lobby with a rum punch. I was here for just one night but would have loved to stay there for a week.

Comparing this hotel to previous Tropical Getaways, we were disappointed. Our hotel room smelled musty, the bathroom was not very clean (had dirt around the baseboards), the shower did not drain, there were watermarks under the air unit that looked like they have been painted over a time or two, there was mold in the vents of the business center, and paint chipping on handrails walking to the main hotel. Overall, it as OK. Not TOO dirty or run down to enjoy ourselves, but we were expecting immaculate for the price we paid- and immaculate it was not. The view, however, is priceless. Staff is hit and miss. Some very helpful, some act like you're bothering them. I think we'll go back to Mexico for our next vacation.

The resort was well situated, with fantastic views. We had the opportunity to both relax and activities. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Beautiful resort. Morning star is the best choice when in St. Thomas. So much to do at the resort. Staff was great!

Stayed for 5 nights with a family. Pros: - amazing beach - breathtaking views from practically everywhere - positive experience during check-in and check-out (we arrived about 4 hours prior to check-in time and were given room right away; they also upgraded it to an ocean view) - room was OK - had everything we needed + a nice balcony Cons: - prices at cafes and restaurants - too high! Come on, breakfast buffet for 29.99!? - very slow and at times inattentive staff - some areas of the hotel are in a desperate need of repairs (Seacliff building corridors, elevators)

Booked for 2 adults and 2 kids and the reservation reflected that accordingly. But they gave us room with one king bed. It was very inconvenient.

Our beach bungalow was awesome! very close to the beach and restaurants. Uphill climb to the main hotel and amenities was a jaunt but the beach to hotel shuttle came in handy. Beautiful vistas overlooking the bay! I would definitely highly recommend this facility.

This was a great place to stay for the Paradise Jam Women's Basketball Tournament. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The bungalow on the beach (Morning Star) was spacious and the provided shuttle made it easy to move from the beach facility to the main facility up the hill.

The hotel was nice with gorgeous pools, waterfall, etc

Our free upgraded room was in an older part of the facility. it was clean and the bed was nice. During an unusually severe thunderstorm it began raining in the room and we lost power for a couple of hours. I don't fault Marriott for this as the storm was quite powerful. The staff was grateful that I reported the damage in detail.

The facilities need updating but the staff is great!

Hotel has a nice view but the main hotel and rooms need some updating. Online pics must be a few years old.

Excellent service and very clean. Views from hotel are amazing. Great beach.

The hotel is in need of some updating which they were currently doing. I stayed at the Seacliff tower while the views were amazing the construction which made our elevator a service elevator and the walk to the rooms was not. It needed an update probably 5 years ago so the fact that they were just getting to it was disappointing. The staff was very nice and the cleaning staff was very accommodating. I did have to call front desk for a noise complaint at 1am my first night because the people next door were throwing a party but hotel staff took care of it. Overall nice hotel, I just think it needs a little TLC to be up to Marriott standards.

Overall the location, pool areas and beach were good. Nevertheless, housekeeping staff was a little inconsistent but ok. The food was too mainland Americanized (too much stuff was not just fried but over the top fried) and the kitchens got orders wrong several times. The common areas were in good shape but the room's bathroom needed some work, several things were broken and the ceiling looked like it had several leaks. Most of hotel staff was very nice with a couple exceptions (not paying attention versus rude).

Had to be moved to 3 different rooms. But they handled it
