The house was spectacular. Wonderfully maintained with all the amenities you could want. The pool was our favorite place to hang. Location was very good on the island. I would highly recommend this house.

Great house w/ super fab pool

Great house with a super fab pool that we paid extra to get heated during our springtime stay. Well worth it. The beds were very comfortable. The house was very clean. We had a few issues during our stay and the manager replied to our requests promptly which i appreciated. Small adjustments in the future would make this experience a 10/10... we have stayed at other rental properties over the years that provided certain things that this house did not, that you might want to just make note of... pool towels, beach chairs, full length mirrors, room & den blankets. Otherwise we loved it! We just know what we need to pack next time.

Lovely property

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Ava Mae Cottage. The property is conveniently located and just a short driving distance to Pier Village, beaches and a variety of restaurants and shops. It is spacious and set up well with three bedrooms, each with a private bath. We liked the open concept and modern feel. The pool was a great amenity. We had some minor issues that were taken care of promptly by the very responsive property manager. Highly recommend this property!

We didn’t want to leave!

We absolutely loved this home, the pool, the location…it was like a dream. The pool was the selling point for me when I rented the home, I knew we would use it all day everyday and we did! The outdoor areas are perfect for an afternoon nap or dinner after grilling. The rooms are well decorated and so clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for every meal. Zach is a great host and super attentive. We will be coming back here again for sure!!

A Beautiful Property with a Fantastic Pool

This isn’t an ordinary rental house - it’s like staying in a classy new home before the owners move in. The finishes are beautiful, the towels are fluffy, and the beds are comfy. Each bedroom has its own bath, and enough space to actually feel like private suites - you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The pool is fantastic and we spent many hours escaping the heat in it! The location is also ideal, only a .5mile walk to the beach and about .75mile walk to Frosty’s for shakes. Zach was extremely responsive with the few questions we had, and the pictures 100% show what you are getting. For those reasons, it is a great 5-star rental, and we loved staying in the home! Given all that, there were a few things we found surprising. Mainly, that the pool pump is right next to the main patio, and runs constantly 8am-8pm. It’s a bit louder than an AC unit and unfortunately is 12” from the table… it was loud enough that we found we avoided hanging out or eating any meals on the patio because of the noise. We were also surprised there are no beach towels, glassware, or bikes available. The towels and glasses were only a surprise given the house was otherwise so well appointed. Not having bicycles available is a recent change, and was only disappointing to our group because we had made plans to explore on them. All in all an amazing place to stay.

The location and the pool was fantastic! The rooms were just right for three couples. One room had a Mildewy/dirty shower curtain and a hair dryer that did not work. The place was comfortable, but not as clean as I would’ve hoped. Beyond that, the house was comfortable and the owner was very helpful and friendly.

Amazing Stay!

Was such an amazing trip. Family had a blast with the pool. So close to the beach and the Pier w a short golf cart ride. Zack was a great host and very responsive. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful vacation house!

The house was great for our family vacation! The rooms were spacious, beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. The kids loved the pool and it was great to have access to the pool bathroom. Great location, close to the beach. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful long weekend getaway

Lovely home and Immaculately clean

The immaculately clean home is a peaceful place. Something we especially liked was the lack of personalization. It didn’t feel like staying in someone else’s home. There was just the right amount of furniture and not cluttered with nic-nacs. The owner Zack was the best! Thank you again Zack, for allowing us to stay.

Bachelorette Weekend Success!!

Absolute best property for entertaining! Comfortable for the 8 person bridal party with high end mattresses, beautiful baths, stunning pool. Everything we needed was available and property owner was easily accessible for a quick answer. The beach was just a short distance away and not crowded. Awesome property

The house was perfect. We loved how nice and beautifully decorated the house was. It was spacious and perfectly laid out for our family. We took our two 17 yr old daughters and they each brought a friend (17 & 18). The girls enjoyed having their own rooms with their own bathrooms (as did we) - and they enjoyed exploring the island and doing what teens do best- photo shoots! With so much beautiful real estate on St. Simon, they had plenty of perfect spots to choose from. My husband and I enjoyed some bike rides between bouts of rain- and thankfully, we were able to get in a little bit of beach time. The pool at the house was perfect as well. Seating inside and out were ideal. The house was well equipped with most everything one would need, though I do suggest and iron and ironing board and full length mirrored in the bedrooms. Certainly not show stoppers, just icing in the cake. Instructions from the owner were clear from booking right through to check in. Communication was on point, as Zack was available for just the few questions I had along the way. We would stay again without reservation! You will not regret booking this property!
