The house was awesome we absolutely loved the layout and everything about it. I did want to mention two concerns. The front porch swing was completely collapsed, so we couldn’t use it even if we wanted to, and both shower curtains had mold growing along the bottom, which felt like a hygiene issue. Those two things are the reason I’d bring it down to 4 stars. Other than that, everything else was great, and we would definitely stay there again.

Independence Day fireworks

This is a wonderful cottage that more than lived up to the advertising! The location was perfect for us as we came primarily for the fireworks and it's only a 5 /- minute stroll to the pier / park. Additionally, the lighthouse, and numerous shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. We loved it!

Oyster Shell Cottage

Very clean. Excellent location. Kids loved walking down the street to the beach, to the village, the pier and the park. We had a wonderful time here and would stay here again in a hearbeat.

Just Right

Everything about this cottage was just right. The location. The space. All just right for our stay. Walking distance to the village shops and restaurants, the pier and the park was just right for exploring with our two-year old granddaughter. The only thing we missed was a Keurig for morning coffee, but that was an easy fix with a walk to the local coffee shop. Stay here. It’s just right!

Walk to everything from here

Oyster Shell cottage is an ideal location to park the vehicle for the duration and walk to just about anywhere for food, shopping, pier, lighthouse, beach, or whatever in the village. The cottage itself is enjoyable with the shaded front porch, sitting areas, and super comfortable bed (at least in the one we tried in the master bedroom). Not having to drive everywhere was ideal because 1) we had already spent plenty of time in the vehicle to get there and 2) the roads are pretty crowded in St. Simons. Oyster Cottage was fantastic. All arrangements were exactly as indicated. We had zero troubles checking-in, staying, or checking out. Thank you.

St. Simons getaway

Oyster Cottage is a lovely, comfortable cottage with very soothing decor and plenty of space. The location is the biggest plus, shops, parks, and wonderful restaurants are all within walking distance. We really enjoyed our time there.

Cycling the Golden Isles

The cottage was a perfect location for easy walking to dinner and convenient to travel to other barrier Islands for our cycling trip. The cottage was very clean, well stocked, beds were comfortable, highly recommend.

Cute & cozy cottage

Our stay at this cute and cozy cottage was nice. The front porch was enjoyable and we could easily walk to the pier area (couldn’t walk down to beach as steps were out from storm). There is a small back yard with a patio but it can be noisy from store employees. The heat worked well, however the AC had a really bad smell and you can’t open any windows so we didn’t use it. Some furniture is well worn, such as bed in front room and kitchen chairs. You need to bring all toiletries, as not much is provided but there are plenty of stores and restaurants very close by

Great place to stay

Only two comments. We could have used blankets in addition to bedspreads on the beds. The shared bathroom sink drained very slowly. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect location.

Quaint Cottage in Great Location

The cottage was adorable and very clean. It is located right in the heart of the town. We walked to all of the restaurants, and enjoyed walking the pier. The only complaint we had was that the house is listed as having 2 queen size beds. One was actually a king, and the other bed was only a full size. The full size mattress very much needs to be replaced. My husband and i never had a good nights sleep.lighthouse could be seen from our stret.
