First time visit to SSI

Older condo complex; the grounds were well maintained; very secure gated entrance and beach access; parking is a little tight for a larger van; distance to the ocean is further than it appears and you must cross on foot an area of hit and miss wet land; beach is hard packed, not soft and sandy. There is a public beach park 0.3 mi. from the complex that has a nice handicapped accessible entrance, restrooms, and soft sandy beach area. Communication with the management company was good.

Exactly what we needed.

The Beach Club on St. Simons was perfect for our quick little fall break getaway. St. Simons is only about a 5-hour drive from where we live. The unit was clean and comfy. The grounds are beautiful and the amenities are great. My son loved the weight room and used it three days in a row. A little heads up about St. Simopns dining though. Although there are numerous great places to eat, parking EVERYWHERE is at a premium. If you want to be able to park and not wait for an hour or longer for a table, it's best to plan on being where you want to be by 5 PM each night. Any later? Good luck.

Nice Getaway

The apartment is clean, but outdated. The couch, and chairs were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Wireless service was intermittent at best. Our kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the island, and we enjoyed walks on the beach. SSI is always a treat!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The parking was not fantastic because of the small spaces in the garage (witnessed many doors banging against vehicles due to space), but the property and condo itself were very nice. Thank you for a beautiful week.
