Property appears to be just reopening. Lots of areas not ok. Front staff was great. They held a concert, which was fun but it was extremely loud all the way back in room. And the people at the concert werent guests so they just wanted to party.

I really liked our stay at Skybeach. It is not highly appealing when you first drive in. However, The rooms were super clean, the beds nice and the view outside our room on the balcony was as good as it gets. Absolutely beautiful view. The place is really nice and the staff highly accommodating. We are going back next year.

The view from the room was wonderful! The room was freshly renovated. However, the entire property smelled very strongly of mold even with the upgrades they were doing. On Saturday night, the hotel restaurant turns into a nightclub and shakes the hotel room the music is so loud. Don't come here for a relaxing evening.

Hidden Gem!

We absolutely loved this place! Definitely a hidden gem, they are going through some renovations and updating a lot of things, but what they’ve done so far is absolutely amazing! Me and my wife just got married and decided to extend our stay and picked this place and we are so glad that we did. A very nice room with clean sheets and a nice bathroom. The only questionable thing was our ceiling fan rocked around when it was on so we couldn’t really use it and the AC unit was a little noisy. Everything else was beautiful, room service was extremely fast at bringing our food over. The SkyBar & Grille made the food and delivered it to us. Really nice pool and hot tub, also the beach area is beautiful with hammocks and swings. They also have some pickleball courts!

We had a great time! I know there's a lot of rebuilding that needs to take place after the hurricane, but they're getting close! We would definitely return in the future and look forward to taking advantage of all the amenities once reopened. One thing to keep in mind when booking through Expedia is I had four in my reservation party, but it allowed me to book a room that only accommodates 2. Be careful with room configurations and such when you're looking.

The young woman working the front desk really went above and beyond. Top marks for service. Stayed in newly remodled room, lots to do, beautiful views. I understand they were hit pretty hard by 2024 hurricanes but are doing a great job bouncing back.

The beach shots make you think it is a large beach -the reality is the BEACH is very SMALL. NO RESTRURANT, only a food truck on site - all fried foods. The rate should be $225, not $400 . The bathrooms are vintage 1965 with old sinks and shower - expect the Water to be shut off between 11-2pm. Maintance? The area is poor - avoid staying here.

Wonderful stay

Marina at the front desk was extremely welcoming and accommodating to us. We arrived at the hotel hours before check-in, but were permitted to use the property while we waited for a room to be ready. The heated pool felt amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the Sky Bar had serving staff to bring food and drinks to your location on the beach. Only 15 minutes from Downtown St Pete. We will definitely come back and stay again!

I stayed at SkyBeach Hotel and Marina while going to the Baltimore Orioles Spring Training games. The hotel was perfectly located about 20 minutes from the stadium. It was an easy drive into Sarasota each day, and back to the hotel after the games. There was plenty of parking. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom didn’t appear to be renovated like the rest of the room. However, it was still clean and functional. The AC worked well and had no issues cooling the room, the days I stayed here had high temperatures of 85 degrees. The pools, skybar, and beach area was great, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone on a trip for spring break. It has 2 pools with large decks with plenty of chairs. The beach area was relaxing and the water was calm. There are pickleball and beach volleyball courts on the property as well. The first floor of the hotel appeared to be under renovation from the hurricane in the fall, the lobby was as well. I’m sure the finished product will be great. To conclude I think the best description would be a hotel that provides a sense of luxury at a reasonable cost. I would stay here again for the current price.
