Major bummer was the strict 4pm checkin, we didn't have a car and came in at 230 after a flight and the desk told us we had to wait. OK fine - that's the rules - but we were hungry after a flight, so we asked to check our bags before check-in, and the front desk said NO! Really? I've stayed at hundreds of hotels and have been rejected from early check-in, but never a bag check. They said they had "no room" but there was obviously room. After we got our room we had no problems, but still very salty from having to carry our luggage to a bar while we wait for checkin. At the bar we made sure to say "oh, the Clarion wouldn't check our bags" will do one of the others near baycare next time

Room smelled like mildew; hallway smelled of cannibas; no hand soap at sink; toilet paper rolls don't fit holder; all metal in room (lamps, faucets, etc.) all rusty and pitted; tile in tub was gross; fan on ceiling was disgusting. Even the light bulbs in the lamps had a heavy coating of dust. People who work there are wonderful - Nicole in the breakfast, supper area; Crystal up front....very nice!

Pool area was ok. Otherwise the property was dirty, poorly maintained. Roaches scurried about the floor and sink area every morning.

Friendly and efficient front desk staff. Room was clean, but there were unrepaired holes in one or two of the walls, holes in the curtains, and the door frame around the room's main entry did not have a good seal. King bed mattress was too soft for my liking, but pillows were comfortable and bedding seemed clean and smelled fresh. Outside of the room, the property seems to be getting some needed TLC. Outdoor walkways and the tiles in the main lobby areas are well worn but it looks like some work is being started to address that. The free breakfast did not include a meat during our one night stay, the juice machine was broken so there wasn't any orange juice to enjoy, but there was coffee and lipton tea, as well as scrambled eggs and buscuits with white gravy.

We weren't aware of the property being infested with palmeto bugs AKA cockroaches until we arrived at the check in desk and told that we can't bring our free breakfast back to the room do to the bugs. We were also unaware that hurricane victims were living at the hotel. The pool and hot tub were nice, but some of the guests who live there got annoyed when we inadvertently splashed them at the pool. A couple of them even voiced their disdain which was very uncomfortable. After spending about $30 on laundry, unfortunately, they still smelled mildewed after the wash, and it took 4 cycles to kind of dry. We ended up just hanging our clothes out to dry. It was a waste of time and money. Breakfast was the same thing everyday. It would've been nice to change it up a little. Overall dissatisfied with the experience.

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Decent bedroom. Would have been fine expect the nightly party that goes on in the parking lot by our room. Think there’s a group of workers that party at night.

Booked a suite for two days, three weeks in advanced. Arrived night day of, and room was not avaliable. They had already charged my credit card they were not going to credit my card for the difference until i said something. The room that was given had a toilet that ran every three minutes. Went to front desk to complain the next morning, they said someone be there to fix. Got back to hotel that evening and it still was fixed. The bathroom door would also hit the bed when trying to close. Over all this reservation acted like a bait and switch.
