Come and stay at the beautiful Porthminster View apartment, only a stones throw away from the beach and spacious balcony to dine out alfresco!

This newly refurbished ‘classic modern’ apartment is the perfect place to add a little luxury to your St Ives holiday.

With the train and bus station only a few minutes walk from Porthminster view, youre not just limited to exploring St Ives (although really why would you want to be anywhere else?) Regular buses and trains can take you to more of the beautiful places in Cornwall, such as Lands End, Porthleven , Mousehole etc...

Porthminster beach is an easy 2 minute walk from our apartment and with its white sand and amazing cafe/resteraunt it’s quite a luxury. It is an incredibly safe beach with lifeguards in attendance and activities such as paddle boarding, canoeing and more (summer season).

Bedroom 1: A beautifully light, spacious bedroom with a king sized 'romantic' styled bed and double doors that open up onto the front facing veranda. You can see St Ives Harbour from your bed! Fitted wardrobes so lots of space for personal items. Floor length mirror.

Bedroom 2: A lovely double bedroom with vintage romantic styled furnishings and quirky extras. A book shelf with lots of different genres of books.

Bathroom: Bathroom with bath/shower and all amenities.

Living area: An open plan living/kitchen/dining area with large bay window overlooking the beach. Large corner sofa and vintage armchair for lounging around and fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities you need! A large wine cooler to chill your favourite tipple in that you can then enjoy on the veranda in the evenings whilst overlooking beautiful St Ives.

Balcony: Sit and relax on the spacious balcony with a panoramic view of St .Ives. With St Ives Tennis club situated opposite, you can enjoy watching a game of tennis in the luxury of your own apartment.

St Ives town is a few minutes walk away where you will find lots of individual, boutique style shops and a wide variety of restaurants.

One of the heaters in the lounge didn’t work. When you sat in the wooden chair in the lounge the right hand wooden arm came apart. There were no tea-towels in the kitchen. The cushions for the balcony furniture had not been brought inside to be stored and were soaking wet. The balcony roof is in need of attention as it is bowed at one end and the rain drips through the slats from the balcony above onto the seated area.

Location had a great view and was in proximity to a great beach and restaurants. The road in was quite steep but wasn’t a problem. Recommend parking head first in the parking spot and reversing down the hill to leave due to the steep incline. Apartment was nicely appointed and comfortable with good water pressure in the shower and a comfortable bed in the room overlooking the beach. The second bedroom’s mattress was too firm for my taste and the bed frame was quite squeaky so we didn’t use that room. The letting agent was extremely responsive. Highly recommend eating at Porthminster Beach cafe for dinner as the food, service, and view were incredible. Overall we had a fabulous stay.

Great location with a beach view, although it is quite a steep climb up to the apartment. Close to the beach, shops and harbour.The apartment was roomy, tastefully furnished, clean and well equipped. We really appreciated the welcome pack of milk, teabags and biscuits.

Mit Auto schlecht zu erreichen, Wohnung etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Die Lage wäre ggü. Tennisplätzen und nahe am Bahnhof St Ives eigentlich gut, allerdings ist die Zufahrt abenteuerlich. Wohnung ist nur über eine sehr enge und äußerst steile one-way Zufahrt erreichbar. Für unser Auto aufgrund, dass etwas tiefergelegt war, schlicht unmöglich. Zudem ist die Straße eigentlich als gesperrt gekennzeichnet, dass heißt man muss erst mal wissen, dass man da reinfahren darf / soll. Bei unserem Aufenthalt war das Foodfestival, deswegen kamen einem auf der one-way Straße, die eh schon sehr eng und ohne Ausweichmöglichkeit war, auch noch Autos von den Foodfestival Betreibern entgegen. Sprich Rückwärtsfahren bergauf war angesagt. Die Zufahrt zur Wohnanlage war dann noch mit Dixi Klos blockiert, so dass wir es dann aufgegeben haben. Zur Wohnung: positiv ist, dass sie großzügig aufgeteilt ist, allerdings schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und es wären einige Erneuerungen notwendig. Vom Balkon oberhalb tropft es durch. Daher ist auf dem Balkon sitzen nur eingeschränkt möglich. Keylock Öffnung ist hin, da kommt man nur a den Schlüssel, wenn man sich die Fingernägel kaputt macht. Microwelle u. Kühlschrank hatten auch schon bessere Zeiten. Matratzen ziemlich durchgelegen. Gebucht für 3 Leute für 4 Nächte - es war nicht mal das Minimum an Ausstattung da, kein Duschgel und Shampoo, kein Tee, kein Zucker und/ oder Milch, kein Trinkwasser. Klopapier nur 2 dünne Rollen. So bei anderen nie gehabt. Daher wird der Aufenthalt dort für eine Einmaliger bleiben.

Beautiful St Ives

We loved our stay in St Ives and the property and its location are great. Jemma was a great host and arranged flowers etc to be at the property before we arrived. My gf loved them. The only issues we encountered were the lack of taxis on a rainy day, book well in advance (no Uber), Just Eat is the only food delivery app that has any availability (only 4 restaurants) and the phone signal and data coverage is very patchy. City slickers will take some time to adjust but after a while its great that your phone doesn't work that well, no spam and no work calls, bliss!

Great location!

Across tennis courts, ocean views, parking below property and walking distance to centre of St Ives - what can be better! Only thing, if there could be darker curtains set up in bedroom facing I ran would be great as one ends up waking up quite early! Other then that, all as said above is perfect!

Loved our stay

Perfect location for Portminster beach., which is a lovely beach with mini golf, beach cafe’s for food and drinks, and short walk to St Ives. Car parking space right outside was really useful as hard to come by with cottages. Loved the lounge and kitchen space. Overall we loved our stay here, a very happy few days, thank you - we would recommend.

Lovely location with sea views.

Had a great week here. Close to town and all shops and restaurants with fabulous sea views from the apartment. Went on some beautiful coastal walks and enjoyed the nearby beaches.

What a find!

Jemma's lovely apartment was the perfect place for a long weekend in St Ives. It's spacious and has enormous windows in the living room that look out to a wonderful view of St Ives harbour in the near distance. We were so pleased that it only took ten minutes to walk into town but even better, there was a lovely beach and beach restaurant right on our doorstep. I could have sat on the balcony all day gazing at the view. And Jemma was really communicative - answering all my queries immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything you could want in a St. Ives stay

Lovely building, in an awesome location. I couldn't believe it would be as nice as the pictures promised, but it was! The view is lovely, you are steps from the beach and a lovely bistro. It's a very short walk to enjoy everything about St. Ives. Nice and quiet and we could hear the waves on the beach as we slept. Really appreciated the safe parking right below the balcony as well. We were able to get an SUV in there, no problem. We couldn't ask for more!
