Directly across from Summerhouse are the Intracoastal Waterway, Fort Matanzas, and even more quiet, secluded beaches. There is not a high-rise anywhere in sight, yet Summerhouse is only a short 15 miles from downtown St. Augustine with all its fascinating history and charm as well as scores of wonderful restaurants, gift shops, pubs, and historic venues.
