Very clean but the location isn’t brilliant.

We stayed for three nights. The staff were very pleasant. The room was spacious and extremely clean. Housekeeping has to be requested if you want clean towels etc as they only come in after the third day. There was no problem with this. Be warned that the location is well out of town (couple of miles) and requires either driving in and parking (scarce and expensive) or calling the very efficient Scooter shuttle recommended by the hotel which costs $5 per head each way. We did walk but it was bout 45 minutes. The breakfast was extremely busy with limited choice and space. We ate elsewhere after the first morning. We paid the $10 a night parking charge but really due to distance out of the historic district felt that this wasn’t warranted.

Mixed Review

Our review is a mixed bag because there were good and challenging things about our stay. Check in was fine, except we were not told in the write-up about the additional parking fee (doesn't make sense as we parked on the hotel-owned property); hotel and room was very clean. The bed was too hard. The toilet seat was very loose and pinched me; asked for help from staff but fix wasn't helpful at all. We were given the run around by the manager in charge to fix until we got upset and it was finally resolved with a new seat. Breakfast was good; coffee was great! Overall, OK, but it wasn't our best hotel experience.

Good place to stay

The hotel was conveniently located, even though we had to drive to the historic district. It was clean and had comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast was good. We would stay here again.
