I love staying at the Algonquin however the Braxton restaurant is consistently disappointing. The service is rarely speedy. This time the food wasn't cooked properly. They did replace my meal. The hotel is due for some improvements to keep it at a high end level. Bathroom shower is in desperate need of a deep clean. Lots of green in there and overall it needs an upgrade. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Pool area needs improvement as well. The hot tub area is not clean and the walls are coming apart. There is never anyone coming by to clean up water on the decks which makes it very slippery.

The dining experience way below expectation misrepresentation in their menu, up keep of the room not idéal and in the stairway at the xtremity very Dirty in my book at this type of resort we should not see those things happening and when I told them after my stay i didn’t feel heard by the manager it felt like oupps sorry good buy i would recommande it only with réservation if you don’t mind ordering from the menu and when you received each meal some ingrédients in your plate its not what it was suppose to be and they only say we run out but it happen more then ounce you wonder is it a regular occurrences and as well the food was barely warm unfortunately …the only good thing is the staff was really nice if i would go again no would I recommande it with réservation i would tell you go at the pines in Digby instead same type of resort and its way more enjoyable the food is better and clean space unfortunately very desapointed and the response of the manager after my feedback didn’t felt sincère it felt that his answer was generic he just wanted to get it done ……i didn’t felt heard which contribute to the fact that if someone would ask me if i recommande it i would have to tell them my story first……but the staff was nice

room size and decor was disappointing. Rooms look tired. Bathroom nothing special. the resort is spectacular and the restaurant was excellent. The pool and gym could also use a lift but where clean and large. I would return but not during full rate season ...not worth the full price.

My major complaint was that one day during our stay housekeeping failed to close and lock my room door. We returnef from a day out to find it wide open. Fortunately no one accessed my room but we were lucky. This was inexcusable.
