Perched up on the hill above Kandy town this hotel has some pretty views but that’s about it. Arrival drink was nice. This place is dated and seemed to be frequented by locals. Because of the odd positioning of the lift which doesn’t go to every floor, we had to tackle steep stairs whilst lugging our luggage. Room was big, beds comfortable, bathroom small and smelt like urine. The WiFi was awful (with 2 teenagers this was a catastrophe!) Tv was good had a movie channel. Warnings about monkeys pinching things were on the balcony doors but we didn’t see any. Buffet breakfast was okay, recommend trying the curd and trickle, silky soft like creme brûlée. We had to check out at 4am they suggested a wake up call....needless to say thank goodness we set our alarms, as it didn’t happen. They did make us breakfast boxes for the train journey we were going on & they were great. If you don’t want to take tuk tuks up & down the hill for everything, stay in town.

TV not functioning, electrical problem and ROACHES in the room : sign of dirtiness ! The best way to avoid having these bugs is most probably to keep your rooms clean mister manager. You are a lier ! You said TV is repaired, and when I returned to the room, it wasn't ! You said : i understand you have encountered an electrical frizzling problem from the appliance, sorry for the inconvenience and a gentle tap on my shoulder : you are not sincere, mocking me and not taking the problem seriously for obvious security reasons ! The problem was still existing when I entered the room (burnt smell and plug crackling). You said : I am sorry if you have had a jumped roach in your face, that must be an individual one : this is a lie as there was a colony under the furnitures ! BE CAREFUL mister manager, bad comments on your hotel travel much faster than positive ones (if there are any !). The only positive comment is the food on your buffet (Ladies fingers were promised by the executive chef and they were present : at least one person in this hotel is not lying !)

A Great location with good views..Clean rooms with friendly and helpful staff.Close to the City centre ( 400 rupees by Tuk Tuk). A buffet breakfast is included catering for western and Sri Lankan tastes.

This is a nice hotel...very clean, excellent service, good restaurant and very friendly staff. The food provided at the restaurant was very good both for vegetarians as well as non. This is an ideal stay for a night before continuing onward on tour.

Kandy is a nice place and this hotel is situated in a nice location. However, when we were checking in, they gave a scare that they didnt have the booking. However, it was quickly sorted out. It is a nice hotel with good breakfast and comfortable rooms. We were instructed by the hotel staff to not open the door to the balcony cos of monkey menace. We didnt experience the menace though. The room was opening up to a scenic view. Staff is nice and responsive.

Nice Hotel..Super location Nice rooms and awesome service at the restaurant.Cool ambience Like the service and Wifi speed was good Courteous service.Like the swimming pool and clean rooms. No room for any complaint

It is good surrounding and panoramic view. Location is good rooms are spacious staff is cooperative food is good even for vegetarian. wifi needs more coverage. costwise is ok. extra bed can provide at reasonable cost

Nice welcome, but the parking is very small. Hotel with a swimming pool. Rooms are small and a list of irritating factors : Weak Wi-fi reception in rooms, tap fitting in sorry state, CRT TV - not the flat ones. Overall not a bad experience - especially for one night.

I had booked the hotel for my family through a trip advisor. The reservation was for two nights but I couldn't stay more than one - Checked out and moved to a much better hotel. The beds were dirty, food - supposed to be B&B buffet but was set menu and was sub par. It was like the hotel was empty. Stairs were dim and dark. Found some ants as well. Definitely NOT recommended for anyone! Pay just a bit more (a breakfast buffet worth) and move to muccccccch better places.

Hotel is below par. Went to the room which was damp, dirty and to top it off found stains everywhere. I'm no spoilt princess but I would seriously think before staying here. I think went in for closer inspection of the bed and found body hair from one private bits.. I marched straight out and checked in to another hotel. You've been warned !! Photo 2 is the said hair. Lots more to report but the list is too long. Shameful more like 1 star!!
