A truly wonderful place to spend ones honeymoon. My wife and I loved every minute of the experience. The hotel is hidden away amongst nature and a stunning lake. the rooms were perfect, the food was amazing and the staff were the best at what they do. We were treated so very well and we hope to go back to this venue as soon as our daughter is grown up. Thank you everyone!

A perfect stay for our honeymoon. The hotel is on the shore of the lake which brings an amazingly relaxing feeling to its guests. The food, as well, gets renewed daily and is delicious! To sum up, a hidden gem of Sri Lanka!

A great Place to Relax with attractively unusual surroundings . rooms were bigger than the usual. variety of foods with a great taste Sri Lankan Tradition comes to live in this place if you love the wild and wanted to visit ancient places then Amaya lake is the best place to hop in

Such a great place, spacious bungalows, a beautiful park on the Amaya Lake where you can walk, look at the egrets or relax on benchs under a special kind of trees. Buffet is very good. Best egg hopper and best dahl eaten here. At dinner time, musicians will play relaxing local music. Very nice and friendly staff. One bad point : the towels are not thick enough and always humid, maybe because of the weather. You cannot open the windows because the great number of flying insects. On another side, you can watch a lot of cute chipmunks jumping in the trees and at night you can see fireflies that give a touch of magic to the place 😊 Not to forget the pool with the park view. Highly recommended 👍

Amazing layout Huge resort. It was very quiet when we were there. 2 huge pools. We were lucky enough to have one to ourselves. Food was great...very good range both a la carte and buffet. Rooms were beautifully appointed Excellent location ....nice bar Management could have dealt with issue with shower breaking more efficiently but eventually did get it done.

The hotel is located in one of the calmest and most serene places I've ever visited in Sri Lanka. I'm an avid lover of holidaying in the dambulla area, and I'd heard many good things about the place. There weren't many guests, which was ideal for me! I decided to try out the restaurant by having lunch there, which was regrettable because the food was average. The same goes for the buffet but that's of course a minor complaint. The rooms were cosy, and the spa boasted ambience and homeliness of a traditional Sri Lankan spa. The treatments here are well worth it and extremely relaxing ❤️

My girlfriend and I were in this lovely hotel for four nights in the chalet 308. It was really nice. The staff was very polite and helpful, the chalet was very clean, had a large bathroom with shower, toilet and a whirlpool. Not to forget the excellent service. The restaurant staff who always made really good meals at breakfast and dinner buffet and the perfect service of Sagara (restaurant chef) and his team. In case wanted there is another restaurant too in the hotel. Additionally the hotel has a spa area, but we didn’t use this, so I can give no feedback on that. The surrounding of the hotel is really beautiful situated at Kandalama lake and it is a perfect stay to do some sightseeing around in Dambulla, Sigiriya, Anuradhapura and Polonaruwa as well as the close national parks which we did! I can totally recommend this place!

Amazing view, Good Food and phenomenal service from the staff. Stayed for one night after a very exhausting day touring. Meet and greet exceptional and very friendly staff. Rooms were expansive on two levels - bathroom actually has a bath and separate shower. Bar and pool area very good - unfortunately we arrived too late and left too early to thoroughly enjoy all it had to offer.

Very quiet this time of the season, however amazing tranquil grounds bordering the lake. Plenty of wildlife to observe including birds and monitor lizards. Friendly staff and big, clean rooms. Dinner is quite overpriced ($25 for the buffet) although the alternatives are not so many in this remote location.
