Amaya Lake is one of my favorite places to wind down. I love to just sit in their beautiful comfortable Chalets gazing at nature, take a swim in their pool or just walk around the property. I feel the hotel is designed to have a very strong connection with the lake. Wherever you are, you can see a bit of lake through the trees. I am a lake lover, so I cannot complain. The only downside is the food. The buffet offers you a wide variety of food, but it is doesn't have the 7 star quality. However it is great value for price!
Winston & Dawn Foenander We booked this hotel because of its reputation and we were not disappointed. Our children joined us from Abu Dhabi with the grandchildren and they had a wonderful time. The location next to the Kandalama Lake was great and the Rooms were fantastic with a large bathrooms and a spa, the bed and furnishings were also very good and comfortable. The Signature restaurant where we dined next to the pool was excellent and complimented with some excellent cuisine. We have to thank the Manager, the staff and the Chef for some wonderful service We also would like to thank Printhii the Hotel manager who treated us like royalty. All in all we had a wonderful tome and would like to recommend this hotel to anyone interested
Our family spent 3 nights in May at Amaya lake, and the stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The location is perfect for a holiday in tranquility. The rooms are well kept and the food is well presented. The chefs Sarath and Hemantha are always helpful, and happily provide some extra dish on the table. Priyanthi is very friendly and always helpful. The garden is a heaven for birds making it a very good location for birding.
We loved our stay here. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The grounds and public areas of the Hotel are incredibly clean and kept well manicured so it's a delight to walk around. Our room was large with a sunken lounge which is great although some cushions on the seats would help make it a little more comfortable. While the room was incredibly clean and comfortable, there could be a little better lighting as we sometimes struggled to find what we were looking for in our luggage. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Amaya Lake as a destination.
Me and our group arrived on 01st of September. All front office staff cooperated with us in very friendly manner. I still remember smile of Ranjith & He warmly welcome us. Before coming to hotel Minuja give us details about hotel and what are the activities we can do when we stay in hotel. After that we checked in to No 74 room. Room was really good. Housekeeping boy also very friendly. Foods are good but little bit want be impure. I made small discussion with chef Sarath. He gave me good knowledge about some of curries. F&B Department Widula, Dinuka, Shehan gave good service to us. Good hotel. Hope to come again. Thank you.
We were visiting this hotel as family for 2 nights. Stuff here is very friendly. Food was delicious. Rooms was clean and had everything you need. Only dissapointment was wifi. Low speed but deffinitevely would reccomend this hotel to anyone.
this place was really lovely place! ayurvedic treatment, organic food (from their farm in the hotel), staff(everyday's dr. Malka's consultation, therapist, cookes..they really take care of us).. everything was very nice. the time spent there was unforgettable memory.
Property gorgeous , pools perfect. rooms large. Weird seat in room that has no cushion to sit on. Basically a wooden bench with a few cushions. Not really usable for a couch -good for cases bags etc. Bathroom not up to standard for this type of property . very small shower for size of bathroom towels plentiful but need replacing as thin worn and greyish. Shower and basin need a good scrub not shiny clean - wiped over with a towel clean. Great fridge very cold. Overall a lovely stay.
One of the best resorts I stayed in Sri Lanka. Resort with significant ecological nature is located on the bank of picturesque lake in proximity of the most famous historical places in Sri Lanka e.g. Dambulla, Polonnaruva and Sigiriya and offers accommodation in many villas situated in rich greenery. Part of area of the esort is used for cultivation of herbs. The relax in picturesque pool after long hot day is a reall pleasure. The meals served for breakfast as well as for dinner in form of buffet were very tasty as well.
If your going on a Honeymoon trip this is the idle location to pick. It has contemporary living room, a spacious bathroom,Kitchen, lounge and a private outdoor Jacuzzi plunge pool. Friendly staff with always smile on their face. Delicious Hot food (Spicy) if your trying Sri Lankan dishes. Try Samara Restaurant. It has breathtaking view of the pool while dinning you can enjoy the cold breeze air. I love the corridors where you need to walk to you personal villas. The experience was like living in a private bungalow. Highly Recommended!
