Our Story
We named this place "Legacy Lagoon" because it is an ode to Tava's Grandmother Carol or "Nonnies". She has a history here in Weeki Wachee where she was a popular Weeki Wachee mermaid at the time where the Springs were featured in many Hollywood mainstream movies and visited by many stars and athletes of the time of the 50's and 60's. She carried on the tradition of raising her children in the cool spring waters with owning properties on the river and enjoying many family vacations here. Tava even learned to swim here as well!

Nonnies was featured in the local newspaper, where you can see her drinking coke under water and performing as a mermaid. These photos are also on the gallery wall of the home along with other elements that add to her legacy. Having our own children now, it is our hope to have our own children grow up around these waters and it is our mission to help other families enjoy Weeki Wachee too!
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a coffee maker and a dining table.
