The room was shown on the web as a large specious room; it was a very small one in reality, It had no real table or chairs. The extension of the sink counter served us as a table. Being in the center of Split, the noise from the outside never stoped. The good feature protecting from that noise was a remote controlled screen that insulated the room from the outside sounds. Starlight rooms are good for couples or singles who are gone for the full day and come back just to sleep and be gone the next day.

Really nice room, had a big covered balcony but not much of a view as we could only see the side of the hotel next door. The spa tub was great and the bed was comfortable. The outside of the building the hotel is in and the stairs up to the lobby were a little shabby but once inside the small lobby and hotel corridor everything was very clean and well presented. The desk is only staffed for guests checking in and out.
I stayed in Split at the start and end of my trip to Croatia. I stayed here on the first two days and and an upscale, full-service hotel on the last two. I preferred Starlight, and would choose it again next time. It's actually a group of rooms in a charming apartment building. You get a set of keys for the front door, the door to Starlight's set of rooms, and a key for your room. I felt like a local living in Split! The room is deluxe, the bed was super comfortable, sheets and towels of excellent quality, soundproof windows and the shower was modern. I especially appreciated the airport pickup.
The staff were verry nice. It was verry clean and comfortable.
These rooms were wonderfully appointed and kept extremely clean.The only thing we looked for that wasn't available in the room were tissues. The facilities were close to the downtown which was great. The only draw back was that it was on the third floor of an old building with a dismal entrance and no elevator..
