Lovely room in a wonderful location in Old Town! So close to everything (shopping, restaurants, etc.), but once in the room, it was very quiet! Toni was a wonderful host! Great communication and extremely helpful! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

This property was just across the street from the Diocletian palace in Split and a 5-10 minute walk to the ferry harbor. The host was very helpful and carried my suitcase up the 4 flights of stairs. Very nice place to stay.

Great location and a great place to stay

This is a great place to stay. It’s in a great location. We had a room with a balcony and a view over the sea and Diocletian’s Palace which was definitely worth paying a bit extra for. Toni, the owner, was very responsive. I would definitely recommend.

The property is a typical small room European boutique hotel. The shower, beds, a/c, and cleanliness were great. The manager Tony helped us within minutes by carrying luggage up the four stories and a small battery issue with the safe. The location is fantastic to the old city and the bonus is the local market outside your door for very cheap meals and groceries and beer. This is a gem but stairs will keep you from gaining weight Ross from Ontario Canada

This hotel was in a convenient location just outside of the palace and walkable to everything. The host was friendly and helped carry my suitcase up the 3 or 4 flights of stairs. (There is no elevator). The rooms were comfortable but mine smelled a bit musty. The alley area where the hotel entrance is was a bit shady, and the main door look wasn’t working. I honestly would put this at a 3 star property rather than 4 but my stay was good.

What can I say, Unreal property right next to the old town - less than a minute walk, we had the room with the balcony and the views were unreal! You could see the marina and Diocletians Palace. Toni, the host, was more than accommodating, even helped us bring our bags up which was very kind of him. We were a young couple so we didn’t mind the stairs up - there were a lot and no lift so be prepared! - it was definitely worth the walk up though, the room was clean to the touch. Would definitely stay again if ever in split! PS if the room with the balcony is available book it it’s worth the view!

Location was great. Close to centre of town, the port and the bus terminal. Only drawback is that there’s no elevator and the accomodation is on the 3rd floor. Apart from this everything else was perfect.

We had a lovely stay here. Toni’s communication before we arrived was excellent, messaging us whilst we were stuck in traffic to make sure we went to the right place. He recommended somewhere for us to have some traditional Croatian food, which was great. The rooms are a 10 minute walk from the parking, and up 7 sets of stairs, and there is no lift. In the summer heat this was challenging, but Toni couldn’t have been more helpful offering to help us with our bags. It was great to have the balcony room, overlooking Split, we used this lots. There is a supermarket, sandwich shop and bars all in the same block as the hotel. We’d recommend visiting Goudin Pigeria for food in the market just outside the rooms. Being located just outside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace meant we were close to the action of Split, but possibly a little quieter than staying inside the palace. If we returned to Split, we’d definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in July and we had an incredible time. We booked the room with the balcony, which has an incredible view, and Tony was very helpful with carrying our bags up the stairs, providing restaurant and coffee shop recommendations, and with organising our room cleans. The accommodation is also in the heart of Split, so you have easy access to the palace, the marina, and the main market - we'd definitely stay again!

Fabulous location by gate into Diocletian Palace, close to cruise boats, market, restaurants and shops. Toni was very friendly and very helpful, he gave excellent advice about where to eat and shop. Very slight downside is It is on the 4th floor with no lift, but definitely worth it! I definitely recommend it.

La Porta rooms were very clean. Staff were very friendly. Tony messaged a few days before to ask time of arrival and I was met at the rooms. The bed was very comfortable. There is not somebody there all the time but this was fine. Tony was contactable if you have an issues. The rooms are on the top floor. The rooms were in a very good position just across from the duplications palace. There were a number of supermarkets nearby. Lots of bars and restaurants. It was a short walk of 10 minutes to the port and same to the bus station to get the airport shuttle. The main bus station is 10 minutes the other way to get local buses to Omiš and Trogir.

Very helpful staff. Toni is a great help! Truly kind. You have to go up to the 4th floor by stairs. In the morning you can hear some noice from the cleaning of the other rooms. Room is great and very good location.

Location, Location, Location! Just steps from the entrance to Diocletian’s Palace. The room was on the top floor, which was a bit challenging for me as a senior citizen. Fortunately, Tony met me as I arrived- in the car for hire that he recommended and arranged- which was wonderfully convenient! He pointed out some key sites- and carried my suitcase all the way to the top floor- I got organized and headed out for the afternoon to explore the area and tour the palace. He came early the next morning to carry down my luggage- and helped me to the ferry dock. This is a great choice for anyone who is able to climb to the 4th floor- (with Tony carrying your bag)- it is perfectly located, clean and comfortable!
