Great location with an easy walk to everything! We arrived by air and the hotel arranged a taxi to pick us up (highly recommended). The driver was excellent and took us right to this tiny door right beside the hotel entrance. The hotel is within the palace walls, but there is a tiny access door right by the hotel. What fun!!!! On arrival, we were greeted amicably and they carried our luggage up to our room. Note that there is no elevator, and all rooms are up stairs, but staff was very helpful and this wasn't an issue for us. The room was quite nice and we really enjoyed our short stay. We should have stayed longer!!!! Next time! One more thing, the staff was very responsive to any pre-arrival questions we had. Great job! One caveat, drinks at the hotel seemed a little more expensive than other areas.
We had a delightful stay here. From the early 1pm check in until the delicious, included, full sit down breakfast and everything in between. The hotel and rooms are spotless, bed was comfy, staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice view of the plaza. Amazing location. It was a great start to our island hopping holiday.
My wife and I just spent one night at Hotel Peristil since we were leaving the next day on a Sail-Croatia cruise. The hotel in next to the East Gate within the Diocletian Palace. You cannot get a better location. We were walking distance to everything, the Riva, bus and ferry terminals, and our Sail-Croatia ship. The hotel sort of blends in with the east gate and wall. We had room 304 which was one of the rooms that actually had part of the east wall. The room was simple but very pleasant, the staff is very friendly and warm and were happy to answer all of our questions and meet all of our needs. The only warning is there is no elevator, so if you do not like or cannot handle stairs this is not the hotel for you. Even though our room was number 304 it was actually on the fourth floor. The staff is very helpful getting your luggage to your room. We also ate at the restaurant Tiffany (Tifani Croatian spelling) located in the hotel and had a great meal. We will be back!
Excellent service as very well looked after whilst we explored the area. The food and accommodation was clean comfortable and well presented. The staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Happy to return.
My mom and I made a stop in Split, to break up a trip to Budva Montenegro. Upon our arrival at Hotel Peristil, we were welcomed by a warm and friendly staff. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the WiFi was good. It is located within an ancient Palace, and is short walk to the historical sites and shops. The rooms are quiet despite being close to seaside cafes and restaurants. As a result of being built within the palace, it’s provides an experience which transports you back in time, giving you a glimpse of daily life back then. The food at the restaurant was fresh and great tasting. Our waiter Daniel offered good service, including recommendations on some of the best dishes (fish soup and tiger shrimp were amazing!). Overall it was a great experience, and I definitely recommended this hotel, if you are looking to stay in Split.
We needed to spend one evening in Split on our way (by bus) between Ljubljana and Budva. We were thrilled with our experience at Hotel Peristil, and only wish it were not so brief. Our dinners in the restaurant were fabulous, with superb service by Daniel. We also enjoyed our breakfasts. The rooms were lovely, quiet, and atmospheric, with comfortable beds. The location of the hotel is extraordinary - right in the midst of the ancient palace. We were able to easily walk (less than 5 minutes) to the most important sites - the Temple of Jupiter, church and crypt, Sphinx, etc. We were also able to easily stroll (6 minutes) to the outdoor palace's nighttime concert. The front-desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, providing us with umbrellas for the rain and making a special arrangement to help me with my luggage to the taxi outside the palace gates when I felt it would be tough for me to carry it. An all-around perfect stay.
We had a delightful stay in Split at the Hotel Peristil. The staff could not be more accommodating and friendly. The location inside the Diocletian Palace walls was ideal. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel recommended an outstanding tour guide and we had the best tour we've ever had. A wonderful family trip!
Perfect location, within the walls of the city and easy walk to everything. Staff were very friendly. Room was ok, nothing special. Breakfast was good and overall generally the place has a really good atmosphere - in keeping with it's location.
Wonderful location within the walls of Diocletian's palace. Easy access to everything in the old town. Great restaurant recommendation. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were courteous and kind. Would thoroughly recommend.
This restaurant is located on perfect central location and unlike most of the city centre restaurants has tasty food and traditional dishes at reasonable prices. I had pasticada and mussels in wine sauce. I loved both dishes and I will be back to try more food.
