I'd like to start with our check in where we met Maja one of the many front desk women who welcomed us with the biggest smile, that was how we started our stay and it only got better. We were checked in with very little fuss and all our questions were answered and we went to our room 955 which over looked the marina with all the gorgeous boats, a view of Split, Croatia and our course the fabulous ocean where we were able to see the sun set every day. Our room was spacious with a desk area, sitting area, large bathroom and big bedroom with king size bed and our course the heavenly bedding and towels, this is a must for my wife. During our stay other front desk women helped us with all kinds of things from getting Uber's into Split, Croatia having ice delivered to the room, extra towels, you name it they helped. Their names were Sanela, Nives and others who's names i didn't get. The first night after driving all day from Dubrovnik we were tired so we ate downstairs at Conlemani an Italian restaurant where we met Ida one of the managers there. the place was very busy, she took her time and got us seated and someone came over to help us. They took there time to explain the menu and even though I have a few diet restrictions we ordered. They have a full bar and good wines many from Croatia. Ida stopped back and made sure everything was going well and always asked if we needed anything, she was delightful. That night we had the avocado salad that was big enough to share and the sirloin steak and eggplant tower, all was very good. To our surprise we were given a discount because we were staying at the hotel. Yes, Ida came back to make sure we were happy and asked if she'd see us again during our stay and we said definitely. Let me say two other of the servers that took care of us Ivana and Olivera were also outstanding in their helpfulness and helped to created a fabulous atmosphere. The location of the hotel is perfect if you're going to Split, Croatia even though we had a car we took Uber's into Old Town every day and it costs approximately $20. Some times we ate in Split, Croatia and yes back at Conlemani because how could we past up being served by such wonderful women as Ida, Olivera and Ivana. That night we shared the avocado salad, a bowl of the most spectacular baby fried squid and a prosciutto pizza, all very good. The breakfasts were good and they had so many items that made it way to easy to over eat. I will say the servers there weren't great. One day we just took it easy and sleep in late, went to the gym, sat by the gorgeous outdoor pool with views of the sea, Split, Croatia, the indoor pool and bar and snack bar. we had long couples massages and then sat in the relaxing area for another hour. It was delightful, but I will say it need a little redo which I understand it's going to get. We were so happy one day when we went down we asked to speak to a manager Boris Odak we only wanted to complement all these women again so they could get the credit they deserve. Don't complain so much, appreciate all these wonderful people who do so much for you, especially when they go out of their way to help and be nice. And yes I did mention the poor service at breakfast. I don't know when we'll be back here again, but look for these women and let then know you appreciate all the long hours they put in to make your stay better and more fun.
Great beautiful resort. Pretty busy, but overall good. We came here after our rooms in the city center disappointed us tremendously. Didn't realize the hotel runs a shuttle to the city center - Split, would have been great to know as this was the reason we didn't book here to begin with. Really big spa / pool facilities and awesome beach club. Good restaurants (on the higher end, to be expected) happening most days of the week. Great breakfast buffet. Very spacious rooms. Great views. Good place overall to relax and unwind.
A very comfortable high standard hotel. Own beach, large gym and spa. Lots of nice spaces and great views. I had a sports massage which was excellent and good value with the voucher received on check in. our room was lovely with spectacular sea view (worth paying for). Our one disappointment was the food served at the pool bar. Complete rubbish and inedible like something you might pick up on a street corner. The excuse from the server was that they were only open for another 2 weeks. ( so it was our fault for ordering so late in the season ?). The Italian restaurant in the marina was great however with good service so head in there for lunch and avoid the pool bar at all costs. Hotel breakfast was ok but not fantastic. A good hotel in a great location but don't assume food will always be as good. Sums up Croatia in a way.
This resort hotel outside of Split has a nice outside and inside pool area and two beach areas. The hotel appeared busy when we were there but our group of 5 could always find beach chairs. Our room included a very substantial breakfast buffet. We had an upgraded room with marina view. The room was nice sized with a sofa, desk and king sized bed, there was a walk in closet but very little drawer space. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower and single sink. We had a nice balcony. We ate at the hotel's Italian beach restaurant for lunch and were disappointed. The hotel has a small casino with slots and limited table games. It is a $20 cab ride into Split. It is a very modern and well maintained hotel. It has the feel of an American resort hotel.
This hotel was a totally disappointment and so it was its staff. We were given a terrible room, with super old forniture. We found the staff in general a bit rude, with exception to the breakfast waiters and also the belly boys. The hotel is located in a marina, which is terrible because the sea water is polluted with boats's gasoline. The hotel is very far away from the town, but fortunately we have rented a car, otherwise we had have to spend a huge amount in taxis. My advice is to book your stay elsewhere. The best thing about this place was the breakfast!
We had a really nice room with a nice bed and a fantastic view, the breakfast buffet was good but for a five star Hotel the place is tired and the service culture of the place is poor . The restaurants are expensive and quality low and the dinner buffet is awful( we were very jet lagged and didn't have the energy to leave the complex and it was as bad as it looked and the service was terrible) No decent coffee available in the morning , which is unbelievable ! The champagne bar is just a bar and a glass of Moët which is the only champagne available by the glass was way too expensive and the service was awful. Split is 8 kms away which is really inconvenient . If all you want is a nice room it's fine for a night but otherwise all the bits you expect from a nice hotel are not here .
Liked the grounds, the private beach, the marina etc. Breakfast good, coffee terrible in buffet but strangely excellent in lobby bar overlooking marina (I wonder as you have to pay for it there??) Nothing much to walk to, isolated, on site restaurants average and very expensive Great size room, good balcony and bathroom Yes a long way from split but we knew that , taxi £15 each way mounted up for a short journey... Could be amazing but lacks some soul and very expensive ....but good for a couple of days....any more would be too long...due to location.
We stayed at the Le Meridien for 2 nights. Being a DOG platinum member, we were upgraded to the executive floor with corner room with a wrap around balcony. Great breakfast with fresh fruits, many variety of local raw and grilled vegetables. Great variety of bread to choose from with cheeses and homemade marmalade. Freshly picked figs and the usually eggs in your ways. Great inside and outside pool with free spa use of steam room, sauna and Whirlpool. Very convenient boat tour booking to see other islands. Unfortunately, our tour got cancelled due to windy and rainy weather. But the weather turned great by late morning. Only 10 - 15 min hotel shuttle to downtown. Great hotel, highly recommended.
Hotel selected by our package tour. Nice private beach with both an indoor pool (warm) and a cool infinity pool outside in addition to a stretch along the sand. The room was spacious with ocean facing rooms with modern bathrooms. The hotel includes a relatively small casino at level -2. Buffet breakfast and dinner selections were more than adequate. One annoyance was the fact that there are only 2 small elevators for our wing of the hotel (I believe it was the north side - top floor 15) and it can be very busy during checkout time in the morning. The hotel also doesn’t provide the normally minimum bottle of water for each room.
We stayed for 7 nights Bed and Breakfast in a sea view room. This is a very large hotel with good facilities on it's own private beach with good pool, spa and gym. The rooms are large and quite well equipped but carpets are old and stained. We had to wait for our room at check in, receptionists are not over friendly, we were told to wait for over an hour then not given very helpful instructions to the room ( the hotel is huge, like a maze.) There is a good choice at breakfast of both hot and cold food , but only 2 coffee machines where there are queues. The dining room is very busy at all times in the morning and it can be hard to find a table. The staff are not very pro active often standing around. The restaurants in the hotel in the marina are quite good but expensive especially for wine. It is quite difficult to find other restaurants in Podstrana. Split is about 20 minutes away and we used the local bus service which cost 12 Kuna, these buses are very frequent and easy to use, the last bus back to hotel is 23.30. Overall a good hotel with good facilities but hotel staff need better training to make it 5 star.
