Nice hotel, not worth the premium price
Hotel is a very large property for the city, and the feeling is very airy and bright as a result. There is no musty smell like so many other hotels in the area. The room is comfy and likewise good size. Bathroom water pressure is great. Quiet enough at night. Breakfast was an over-priced affair and charging for wifi to non-Marriot members is a low-rent move. Directions to hotel and parking garage easy to mess up.

Proximity to venue for our concert was fantastic, greeted by all staff, clean lobby, restaurant, food and drinks great. One particular young lady (zue?) on duty on Saturday morning helped get me coffee after coffee bar was closed. Extremely kind, helpful and so pleasant. Entire staff was great during stay. Food was excellent in bar area too. Room had slow draining sink and obvious leak bc good portion of counter was wet when we checked in. I forgot to mention at check out.

Rooms need updated. Old carpeting. AC in room 427 was terrible. Shower had draining issues. Lobby was beautiful but misleading once you see the rooms. Bed was lumpy.

Terrible customer service. Sent text thru Expedia that my check-in would be late 1130 to midnight to please make sure I had my room with queen beds because I had four people my two grandchildren and my daughter-in-law and myself. Just to make sure I called the Marriott personally and spoke to Chloe at 10:29. She said yes ma’am we got your message I said make sure I have two beds. There are four of us. We are exhausted from dance competition and the granddaughters have to get up at 6 AM to dance again no problem she said we arrive at 12:05 no queens only king with pull out. Was very upset, but took the room then no parking in a very dangerous area. No security showed up at the hotel. The front desk didn’t even offer a complementary water get to the room. There’s no sheets blankets or pillows for the pull out have to go back downstairs the night Clerk has no key to the storage. They do not offer us another room I had to pay for another king room it is now 1:24 in the morning. And we are just now getting in our rooms. My granddaughters are exhausted, crying and upset. They have to dance first thing in the morning. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not Clerk did not even offer us a free water. I had to go to the bartender and ask if there was somebody else that could help. I have stayed in a lot of Marriotts in the last 30 years. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Malfunctioning lamp/?Electrical issues in first room, we were moved but room reeked of smoke. Next door guests slammed their door many times late at night keeping us awake, but can’t blame the hotel for that Toilet overflowed but maintenance came to fix promptly. Nice front desk staff, prompt resolution of issues. Excellent breakfast but limited dining hours
