Local Surroundings:

Check out the popular Becca's Backwoods Beans for a hot cup of coffee before heading out to lunch or dinner at Main Street Pizzeria or the Italian-American fusion restaurant Crave. Looking for live music? Visit Muddy Creek Café and Music Hall or journey out to the Alleghany Jubilee, where you can experience traditional mountain music and dancing. From Crazy Like a Fox, you're also a short drive away from Red Dog Bar & Bistro in Piney Creek, where you can enjoy upscale dining.

Bring your own canoes, kayaks, and tubes, or rent equipment from one of the many local outfitters. Make sure to bring your fishing gear, too!
- Nature lovers will love nearby parks like Grayson Highlands State Park and Doughton Recreation Area, each no more than 30 minutes from your home base. You are also positioned close to many Blue Ridge Parkway access points, a scenic roadway with many stunning overlooks and hiking trails. While the parkway and surrounding areas are beautiful year-round, they are especially memorable when the leaves change in the fall.
- No High Country vacation is complete without a day trip up to the quaint mountain town of West Jefferson, roughly 40 minutes away from your rental. Here, you'll find even more restaurants and exceptional shopping opportunities at the town's many locally-owned shops, antique stores, and art galleries. Sample local crafts and harvests at the Ashe County Farmers Market during the warm months, or watch how cheese is made at the world-famous Ashe Co. Cheese Factory year-round. No matter what time of year you visit, downtown West Jefferson has endless fun and entertainment to keep you busy.
