Southeast Region Vacation Packages

I want to be fair about this as the room was not expensive, just $90/night. However, the room's air conditioning was not working, and it was 90 degrees in Rio. At first the A/C worked, but then it stopped in the middle of the night. They graciously gave us another room, so we packed up everything and moved. That room had the same air conditioning issue as the first one, so we had to pack up and move to our third room in three days. There the A/C worked. All three rooms were tiny, No hand towels, no Kleenex, slow elevators. A bit disappointing. When I booked online it looked like we could walk across the street to a beach but the road in between was four lanes with with no crosswalk or traffic light near the hotel. That beach wasn't nice either, and I saw only two people using it. On the plus side, the breakfast was very nice and the staff was friendly and did respond to our A/C issue. However having to have three rooms during our three-day stay made this a place we'll not be returning to.

The staff was wonderful. The restaurant was excellent. Paulo, a bell man, was amazing. He always had a smile on his face and spoke English quite well.He knew everything about Rio and seemed more like a friend than a hotel employee.

It is difficule to understend that Hotel Staff want to charge half day charge for one hour early checkin, even they have a rooms available.
