The cabin is very cute. The two bedrooms upstairs are very charming with nice decor. Great for friends or a small family. The bathroom is downstairs. The hosting company forgot i was checking in and sent me a contract when i was an hour away. What could be improved. No proper cooking pots and the hot cold water is extremely temperamental. It takes quite a while to get it perfect in the shower. You can get scalded as it gets very hot, then very cold when you play around with the hot/cold water handles. The claw foot bath tub is charming and lovely warm toilet heated seat!

Augie's Authentic Log Cabin was Awesome! Charmingly appointed with a perfect kitchen space. I booked this cabin because A) it was dog friendly and B) had good counter space and what looked to be a good sized refrigerator. We travelled to South Lake Tahoe for a family wedding for which I needed to decorate the Wedding Cake (baked at home.) I couldn't have made a better choice in cabins. SO grateful for that. The sunlight was lit the downstairs in a warm glow. The bedrooms were beautiful too. The bed was VERY comfortable. (We always travel with our own furniture cover blankets in case the dog wants to hop on the couch. )

It was good There was a bear when we showed up at night In the morning I saw that it was eating garbage out of the recycling bin Somebody be for me put garbage in that bin Not sure why there are unprotected bins there when there is bear box?Also some bigger pots for pasta and some sharp Knife’s would have been nice Also the stove is funky burgers work intermittently Place was cozy and clean

Property management is not responsive at all!

First of all, the listing is described accurately. It’s a nice cabin in a nice neighborhood with new furnishings. However, their cancellation policy is incredibly strict. In our case, at the time of our trip, the highways to Tahoe were literally shut down by the authorities because of the storm. But they wouldn’t let us change our booking whatsoever. We had to get a hotel on the way and wait until roads were safe to drive. At the property, the driveway was not shoveled at all. There was several feet of snow so we had to park our car on the street and then ask a neighbor if we could park in their driveway. The property manager was basically not responding at all. When the main door got locked shut and we were trapped inside, they refused to send help right away. We cut our stay short and wowed to never return again. This was a nightmare experience.

Family weekend getaway

Our stay for the weekend in Augie’s Log Cabin was great. It is a beautiful spot, super clean, excellently located in a quiet road in central Meyers, and at a relatively short drive to Kirkwood. The cabin is well equipped (kitchen, bedd, and plenty of board games) and very spacious for our pre-K to run around. A big bonus was the gorgeous bathroom with heated toilet seat. We would stay there again for sure.
