Dale cottage was the perfect location and perfect size for our family of 4. We loved the screened porch and the back yard was perfect for hanging a couple of hammocks for our kids to sleep under the stars one night! We loved the neighborhood, the house and all the extra beach gear provided!

The house was adequate

The location of this house was great with just a Hirt walk to beach access. The added beach chairs and random beach items was great. The house itself met our needs but was basically a larger motel. The mattress in the master bedroom is 20+ years old and smelled musty. It was the most uncomfortable nights sleep that I’ve had in years. The shower heads were something out of a motel and a little money would greatly improve things. We used the grill one night and there was so much grease in the bottom from it never being cleaned that a small fire started in the bottom and we had to get the fire extinguisher out. This house is very obviously passive income and the owners are not interested in updating anything, we would not recommend you staying here and we will be looking for properties for our future stays with anyone other than this management company.

Relaxing

This property was exactly as listed. Very comfortable home very close to the beach. We all had a very relaxing week on the beach, watching the sunset and we spent A LOT of time on the screened in porch whether just drinking coffee, talking or playing games.

Lovely MI Retreat

My family and I had a great time at this beautiful vacation home in South Haven. It was a short walk to the lovely, public, Lake MI beach. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a very nice backyard. We found everything that we needed at this cozy vacation home. We hope to stay there again soon!

We enjoyed our stay here and loved the location. Furniture in living room is a little run down and beds in two of bedrooms are not comfortable and need replacing. Communication with renting company was excellent.

Dale’s Cottage

We have been renting for over 20 years and this is one of the cleanest. The listing was misleading however. It is not a well stocked kitchen. The only thing we’ll stocked are beach chairs and umbrellas. As for the rental company, we called and left a message but it was not returned. We ended up having to go to their location to talk with them about the property. They did take care of our issues the same day. The location of the property is great if you want to see wildlife. If you are looking to be able to walk to a beach, this may not be the best choice as the stairs to the beach are extremely long and difficult to carry a lot.

Would not rent again

Floors extremely dirty. Beds covered with plastic with cheap foam on top and were very uncomfortable. Ants on kitchen countertops. Food freezing in rear of refrigerator. Grass too long. Place generally looked unkempt. We only slept there one night due to beds and mildew smell.
