This is a very nice and clean hotel. I am a Platinum Elite with Marriott and I have to say, the service of the front desk person Kaytee was among the best service I have had at any Marriott I have stayed. She went above and beyond to help us with our situation. She was absolutely fantastic!!
After a long day of travel, were greeted with a warm smile and friendly reception from Kaytee at the front desk. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered additional help on our travels, great service. Room was clean and what we were expecting. Over all, a good stay and value for the money.
Do not be fooled by these other reviews. I’ve been staying at this hotel for years and I have to say the location is great. But sadly the condition of this place it’s gone down hill fast. Maybe it’s the house keeping Manager but it’s like no one even care about the inside appearance. First off the rooms smell like an old NY city can.....Body odor. The showers have mold both on the walls and floor. Then I checked in the garbage can outside the door was overflowing....when I checked out the next morning (9:30am) still there. But perhaps worst of all, the elevator.....mud on the floors and once you got in and the door closed you could see that someone had spit on it because it was all hard and dried to the elevator stainless door.....gross. Maybe the people that work here are use to living like pigs but I for one am not. Sadly this will most likely be my last time at this property.
ok room, not much to say except it was noisy at night with rooms around us very involved in sports games on television that was set pretty loud. OK exercise room...had what I needed. Breakfast was nothing to write home about and tables and chairs didn't work well together...chairs were way too low to accommodate proper seating to eat at tables...tired looking place. But...we stayed here because of it's location to Purcell Pavillion. Easy walk even in the cold winter. The other couple we went with had a way nicer room than we did and we paid the same price....not sure how that works. We both have Marriot points so that isn't what happened...odd.
What a wonderful discovery steps from the Notre Dame campus! We arrived after driving through a harrowing blizzard to be warmly greeted at the front desk in sight of a cozy fireplace. The property is clean, welcoming, and well maintained. The extra touches were unexpected and a welcome delight. Within minutes upon arrival the kids had cups of hot cocoa (topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, better than they get at home) in hand and I had secured a super-late checkout (thanks to points status and a very thoughtful and professional front desk employee). Room is tidy, comfortable, and just fine for our one-night stay, though I am sure it would be more than adequate for a weekend visit. After a dinner on Eddy Street (two block walk) I retired to the lounge in front of the fireplace and, in passing, remarked how nice it would be to have a glass of wine by the fire place. The kind front desk employee remarked “…red or white?” At chain properties like this we have come to expect the basics. This hotel offers the basics and more, combined with a good dose of thoughtfulness and hospitality. We will recommend and book here again. Keep up the great work!
Vicky and staff are amazing. Located across street from campus. Clean. Courteous. Always stay here when I️ am in town. Close proximity to restaurants. Updated interiors My wife loves this place. Thank you.
Wonderful service; ask to meet Kaytee at the front desk. Lovely young lady - except someone may have trained her to work at a Ritz Carlton. Nice smile and personality - was service focused - and it was genuine.
I am a Platinum traveler with Marriott brands, This is one of the best Marriott properties that I have ever stayed at, including the full service brand. Hotel was clean, breakfast was fresh & hot, the staff are all 5 star people consistently focused on helping you during your stay. The location is 2nd to none for UND events and dinning/nightlife at UND. If you actually stay a couple of times, they know you by name and what your specific requirements are. A real story is I recently stayed two consecutive weekends and the first, I required a portable refrigerator. On the follow up visit the next weekend, I had a manager stop me in the lobby 20 minutes after checking with a refrigerator asking if I would like one again. I was surprised that they remembered the previous weekend, but again, 5 star folks working there.
We had traveled for HOURS and were ready to park for the night. We did a search, put the address in the gps and had a very hard time finding the hotel. It was late, we were exhausted and this wasn't good. Luckily they did have 2 rooms, the hotel was nice, rooms are very small and we were disappointed to find no fridge in the room. Breakfast was awesome, staff was helpful...plenty of parking too.
i have been staying at this hotel 2-3 times a year since my son started school at ND in 2014. It was always very clean and very friendly. This last stay July 30- August 1 was different. I do not know what has happened. The front drive way was dirty with liquids dripping out over the brick imprinted concrete. The elevator floors were dirty with black marks and water all three days . The carpets had not been vacuumed. The sheets didn't fit the beds. The shower had wads of hair on the floor. Our room was never vacuumed . We asked for a folding luggage rack on which to open our suit case. We never saw one. I don't think the lady at the desk had ever seen one. The mattress was very soft and creaky. Totally unlike previous stays at this hotel.
