The staff at this location is outstanding !! They went out of their way to treat us as if we were the only guests in hotel. Thank you!! The beds are worst I’ve ever slept in, bathroom shower was tired, and the HVAC was on vacation. I’ve stayed some places in Mishawaka, only a short Uber away and they were much nicer.
My two sisters and me and our spouses stayed at this hotel two nights, April 20th and 21st. We were attending an event on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. This hotel is well positioned in very close proximity to Notre Dame and the Eddy Street Commons retail district. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean but small and in need of new furniture. For the price charged, One would expect premium bedding and toiletries, however, the bed is very uncomfortable and showing signs of age. The toiletries were mediocre at best. The free breakfast was barely adequate and, again, not of the quality one would expect from a hotel in the Marriott family.
This hotel has nice staff and the "bare minumim." It came with 1 of shampoo and 1 bottle of conditioner (no lotion). An average hotel. 3 towels and 2 full sized beds. A small room. Not that great, not that bad.
I got to the hotel and was told that I was not entitled to the enhanced internet that I always get when I stay with Marriott for free. After an intense discussion, the clerk told me I would get it for free. Guess what? I was charged for it. Also, my shower had orange mold and dirt, and the sink would not drain. In addition, during the "daily cleaning" the dirty wash cloth was never removed from my shower. The bed was uncomfortable and the hotel was noisy. I would not recommend this location to anyone traveling for business.
This is a fine hotel - was here for a single night on a business trip last week. No frills, but that's not what you're looking for when you book a Fairfield. I'd imagine it's proximity to Notre Dame is quite awesome depending on what you're in town for, but unfortunately for me I was just here for business. No complaints!
This was our first stay at this Fairfield - it is always booked so we are usually at another Marriott brand in Mishawaka. The hotel is in a phenomenal location. And, because it is, you should be happy to be there, not they should be happy to have you there. I know - third world problems. But, seriously, the Mishawaka Marriotts always seem happy to have you. This one, not so much - from the front desk (on cells) to the breakfast staff (standing around talking when there were no empty clean tables - there were tables, just not clean). Don't get me wrong - I will absolutely stay here again when it is available because of the location. It does not get better. And, the hotel itself was great. But, this hotel will have to up its game once the Embassy opens next door.
This is a very nice and clean hotel. I am a Platinum Elite with Marriott and I have to say, the service of the front desk person Kaytee was among the best service I have had at any Marriott I have stayed. She went above and beyond to help us with our situation. She was absolutely fantastic!!
After a long day of travel, were greeted with a warm smile and friendly reception from Kaytee at the front desk. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered additional help on our travels, great service. Room was clean and what we were expecting. Over all, a good stay and value for the money.
Do not be fooled by these other reviews. I’ve been staying at this hotel for years and I have to say the location is great. But sadly the condition of this place it’s gone down hill fast. Maybe it’s the house keeping Manager but it’s like no one even care about the inside appearance. First off the rooms smell like an old NY city can.....Body odor. The showers have mold both on the walls and floor. Then I checked in the garbage can outside the door was overflowing....when I checked out the next morning (9:30am) still there. But perhaps worst of all, the elevator.....mud on the floors and once you got in and the door closed you could see that someone had spit on it because it was all hard and dried to the elevator stainless door.....gross. Maybe the people that work here are use to living like pigs but I for one am not. Sadly this will most likely be my last time at this property.
ok room, not much to say except it was noisy at night with rooms around us very involved in sports games on television that was set pretty loud. OK exercise room...had what I needed. Breakfast was nothing to write home about and tables and chairs didn't work well together...chairs were way too low to accommodate proper seating to eat at tables...tired looking place. But...we stayed here because of it's location to Purcell Pavillion. Easy walk even in the cold winter. The other couple we went with had a way nicer room than we did and we paid the same price....not sure how that works. We both have Marriot points so that isn't what happened...odd.
