Wonderful service; ask to meet Kaytee at the front desk. Lovely young lady - except someone may have trained her to work at a Ritz Carlton. Nice smile and personality - was service focused - and it was genuine.

I am a Platinum traveler with Marriott brands, This is one of the best Marriott properties that I have ever stayed at, including the full service brand. Hotel was clean, breakfast was fresh & hot, the staff are all 5 star people consistently focused on helping you during your stay. The location is 2nd to none for UND events and dinning/nightlife at UND. If you actually stay a couple of times, they know you by name and what your specific requirements are. A real story is I recently stayed two consecutive weekends and the first, I required a portable refrigerator. On the follow up visit the next weekend, I had a manager stop me in the lobby 20 minutes after checking with a refrigerator asking if I would like one again. I was surprised that they remembered the previous weekend, but again, 5 star folks working there.

We had traveled for HOURS and were ready to park for the night. We did a search, put the address in the gps and had a very hard time finding the hotel. It was late, we were exhausted and this wasn't good. Luckily they did have 2 rooms, the hotel was nice, rooms are very small and we were disappointed to find no fridge in the room. Breakfast was awesome, staff was helpful...plenty of parking too.

i have been staying at this hotel 2-3 times a year since my son started school at ND in 2014. It was always very clean and very friendly.This last stay July 30- August 1 was different. I do not know what has happened. The front drive way was dirty with liquids dripping out over the brick imprinted concrete. The elevator floors were dirty with black marks and water all three days . The carpets had not been vacuumed. The sheets didn't fit the beds.The shower had wads of hair on the floor. Our room was never vacuumed . We asked for a folding luggage rack on which to open our suit case. We never saw one. I don't think the lady at the desk had ever seen one. The mattress was very soft and creaky. Totally unlike previous stays at this hotel.

This hotel is just OK. Location is key for this place if you are visiting the Notre Dame campus. The hotel rate for the hotel is not good. This place is looking tired. Rooms are very small. Towels are hard and scratchy. Mattresses are very hard. I've stayed in many Fairfield's and this one is just not up to par with the rest of the chain. My A/C went out the last night I stayed. Not a big deal since it was my last night, but it speaks to the maintenance. The hotel rooms lack and special touches.

The location is great, close to Notre Dame and within walking distance of restaurants, bars, a Starbucks, and the bookstore. The lobby and breakfast are nice, the rooms are new- so everything looks nice. However, the beds were so uncomfortable and the temperature control in the room was difficult (it was either too hot or too cold).

I am a lifetime Marriott Platinum Member who stays at Marriott's about 70 nights a year, Even before we checked in, we experienced poor service when I called 3 times to change our room from the top floor to a lower floor when no one answered the phone and I finally had to leave a message. The check-in was not friendly, did not initially offer us the elite amenities or thank us for our loyalty as they usually do. We get to our room and it has to be about 150 sq ft, one of the smallest I have seen, but we were tired so I called and asked for a room with two queen size beds and she said they were sold out, so I asked for one for the next day and she said they were sold out. Then I asked her to check with the manager to see if that could not be arranged as I was Platinum and it was. I then went down to get some ice and the ice machine was broken. The next day in our tiny room, we notice mold in the shower and peeling wall paper. Not what I expect from any Marriott brand. The text day, the electronic front door only opened half way which was another sign of lack of maintenance. Later in the week my wife went to charge some water to the room and was told there was no credit card on file,even though we gave them one. After that we came back late at night and all three of our room keys were dead, but the pleasant person said that our credit card was on file and perhaps all three got demagnetized. On a positive note, the breakfast staff were very nice and the breakfast was typical for a Fairfield. Although there was construction going on next to the hotel, the location is across from the campus and a block away from a neat block of stores and restaurants. Also, our second room was a suite that was quite nice. With better management and better training for employees, this would be a nice place, but you might want to find another place until they get their act together.

Recently stayed at Fairfield Inn at Notre Dame. We were in town for my daughters graduation. It was our first time staying at this hotel. We will surely return. The hotel is lovely and clean, and the service is top level. The two employees that really stood out for me were both at the front desk. Their names are Esmeralda and Ling. If you are fortunate enough to have them assist you during your stay, you will be very pleased. These are 2 of the finest hotel employees I have ever seen. Esmeralda and Ling both have tremendous, positive, can do attitudes, and their only goal is to make sure that you enjoy your stay at their fine hotel. My family will return to the Fairfield Inn at Notre Dame because of these 2 outstanding employees. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

This hotel overlooks the Notre Dame Campus and hence the football stadium. It's also just next to a new retail development with good restaurants, an excellent 7-11, and a branch of Urban Outfitters. It's clean, comfortable and friendly. I very much enjoyed my stay there. The breakfast is interesting. It's promoted as "free" - though in the UK and elsewhere it's pretty standard to have the breakfast silently included in the room price, and therefore not really free! So I don't understand what "free" means here. It isn't the kind of multi-choice, lavish buffet I've had elsewhere, and no-one cooks; it's very much help yourself. On the other hand, with unlimited access to coffee, juice, cereal, eggs, fruit, yogurt and DIY waffles (oh yes!!) there's nothing you'd really miss. I think it's a pity that the plates are paper and the cutlery plastic, but I suppose it saved any washing up. There is an exercise room and pool, but the pool is very small, and anyone walking past in the hotel corridor can see you swimming, so it's not terribly inviting. But the staff are very friendly and helpful, everything is clean and comfortable, and if you are not bothered about luxury, it's a good place to stay. I would certainly go back.

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the last several years. Although many will point out the location as their best asset, our experience has been the staff from the general manager down to the cleaning staff (and everyone in between) are their best asset. They are very customer oriented and go out of their way to address your questions and/or concerns. If you want a welcoming place to stay, you cannot go wrong with this hotel.
