Rooms looked good on expedia however fittings tired yellow stains on pillow slips from too many heads over the years. The artificial flowers/leaves on the balcony had been bleached grey from the sun. Silicone around bath and skirting dirty/mouldy. In retrospect would have been happier paying an additional 75 euro a night for a 4 star hotel down the road (with a pool). Girl on reception very nice though.

Not really a hotel, but good set of services rooms

Claiming to be a hotel, but really just a set of serviced rooms. No reception, so when we turned up a little later than expected, it took some time to locate the keys, as when we tried the telephone number on Hotels.com, it was out of service! When someone was on reception, the staff were very helpful. Location OK, just on the edge of Sorrento, so only a short walk to the centre of town. Rooms also OK, clean and tidy, but some of the fittings were broken (e.g. shower bracket).

Not bad

The room was nice and clean but 1st impressions of the hotel/building were quite disappointing. There is a pool listed on the amenities but the pool belongs to another hotel and it costs €20 per person per day to use it. The shower in the room looked great but it was just a gimmick with lots of the jets etc not working. Location wise it was great, just out the hustle and bustle but just minutes to walk into the centre.

Clean and close to train and town.

Room was large with a great bath with a jacuzzi tub. Close to the train station and a short walk to downtown. Check in was a nightmare. Sign says Alehouse 2nd floor but you actually need to go to Vhome on the 3rd floor to check in. As they don’t post this information anywhere we stood around for almost an hour trying to get into trying to get into the building which is locked. As no one is on the 2nd floor there is no one to buzz you in. During our stay we ran into several people who either didn’t know what to do or could not check in as no one was there to check them in as they had gone home for the night. If you are looking for a nice clean place to stay at a reasonable price, this is for you. Although beware the that checking in may not be easy. If you are looking for a hotel, this place is not the place for you.

The property is a room in a building not a hotel. It was difficult to find at first but once they gave you the key it was fine. We just slept in the room. It was walking distance from the train station and walking to the port to catch the ferry station also the restaurants.

Clean, comfortable, good value

The room and toilet were spacious, and clean, with kettle & coffee/ tea packets, hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo, thick white towels (but no toothpaste/ toothbrush/ facial tissues, it seems the norm in Italy hotels). Breakfast was included in the room rate, and had a good spread - ham, cheese, eggs, toast, pastries, juices, fresh fruits, and a coffee machine with choice of cappuccino, mochaccino, espresso and other variations. The b&b is 5-minutes walk from Sorrento railway station, and an even shorter walk to the old town. The only downside is that the front desk is on the 3rd storey, but the lift won’t work without a key. One of us had to climb up to the front desk, then they came down to operate the lift for us. Upon check-in, we were then given the keys to the lift and the main entrance, as well as a card key to our room. The room was serviced daily, we were unable to put up a “do not enter to clean” sign.

Clean and tidy room with an excellent en suite toilet / shower. Air conditioned. Nice balcony. Friendly staff who helped make our trip so pleasant. 5 minute walk to town centre. 10 minute walk to train station. 15 minute walk / elevator ride to the ferry port.

It was great, the service, the people, the distance from everything, the only thing that I can say that wasn’t good is the parking, I was looking for hotel with parking because I knew that I am going to rent a car, in the web you say that you have free parking for the hotel and even put a picture of a parking lot but in the end we find no place to put our car and needed to pay 18€ Extra for each day for the parking 😔
