Good food, nice friendly helpful staff, lovely sea view room and a great area to be in. Everything was clean and comfortable what more can one want. I would stay there again at the drop of a hat! Sorrento is a beautiful and interesting place to explore.

Stayed here with a group of friends for my friends wedding Could not fault the hotel whatsoever. The staff were friendly. The hotel itself was lovely. The shuttle bus to sorrento was excellent. you could pay cash at the bar, which was superb as most places prefer you to add a tab to your room.

Stayed at the Caravel the first week in June. This is a fantastic hotel whose staff are lovely & friendly & nothing is too much trouble. The location is perfect & a free shuttle bus is available to take you into the centre of Sorrento. The food is amazing & there was something for everyone. My only complaint is I had to come home!

Amazing hotel, spacious rooms, air conditioning and huge shower. Its a very peaceful hotel only 10 min walk from bars an restaurants and 4 mins by hotel free shuttle bus to Sorrento. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and all speak very good English. Breakfast is adequate, served in light airy room with option to sit outside. Nice pool area and also two roof terraces for sunbathing, views are amazing from there. There is a train station about 20 min walk away easy to hop on to Pompeii etc. All in all great location and great hotel. Would definitely recommend!

We arrived very late to a lovely welcome. Told to go to our room, leave baggage and then come down to a lovely cold plate. Much more than expected and in such lovely surroundings. We retired to bed and woke in the morning to assess the room situation. Very clean, balcony as requested and exactly what I had hoped for. Breakfast was a lovely choice and the staff were so obliging, nothing was too much trouble. I can't name them because every single member of staff were helpful, friendly & with GSOH :) It was our first holiday child/ son free and we were made to feel very welcome and special. Every thing about the holiday was different to any holiday we have been on before. The pool was quiet, but lovely and relaxing, every part of the hotel was spotless, the staff made the hotel even more special. We will definitely return and recommend it to our friends.

This is a small hotel situated in a residential area, a few minutes' walk to Sant'Agnello train station or 20 minutes' walk (or a few minutes on the courtesy bus) to Sorrento. It's convenient to get to various tourist locations. It's usually quiet/peaceful, unless you are in a room facing the road, in which case, you could be woken up by the bin men or the road sweeper in the early hours. Food is fine but it can be just lukewarm at times. I believe there used to be tea-making facility in the room but not anymore. If you are a tea drinker, you can get a nice cuppa at breakfast; at other times, it's just a waste of money because the water is just too tepid to make a decent brew. One more tip is take your own towel for the pool unless you don't mind paying extra. Setting these minor things aside, the staff is really friendly and the room is cleaned/tidied everyday.

There are many positives about the hotel. All the staff are fantastic and very helpful. The hotel environment is spotless, very green and a lovely place to stay with very nice gardens and pool area. The hotel is very well run and this is reflected in the good restaurant. There is plenty of choice in all 3 courses, in our view the starters and deserts were always very nice but the mains varied in quality. Stick with the fish for the main course would be our advice. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus into Sorrento which we used a lot. I think this could run more often which it may do in July and August. Any negatives. The rooms vary in quality (see other reviews), we were unlucky and got one of the small rooms. Very clean, nice furniture, good air conditioning, big bed but very little, in fact no room to walk around the furniture. We had a nice balcony/terrace but not private at all as it was next to the restaurant. Also we had a lot of plumbing noises from surrounding rooms, no one else has commented on this so again perhaps we were just unfortunate. The location of the hotel has benefits and negatives. It is in the quieter area of Saint Angello, 20 to 30 minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento /ferry terminal/bus station. This is good because it is away from the noise and traffic and is a nice environment to stay in but the walk into town is very noisy no matter which way you walk. Also at night the surrounding area has very few sensibly priced scenic bars to visit and consequently many people stay in the nice hotel lounges/grounds at night. If you haven’t got the money to stay in one of the top luxurious hotels in Sorrento itself we do feel this is a good hotel to choose.

First time in Sorrento, couldn't have asked for a better hotel and location. Staff were extremely helpful ,restaurant staff were brilliant very attentative . Varied menu there was always a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian. We had a room on the 3rd floor which had a fantastic view of the bay, unfortunately we did not have a balcony but the air conditioning was sufficient. Rooms were cleaned daily. Would definitely return.

a great hotel with warm, friendly and helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. The choice of food is good for each meal and my wife who is gluten intolerant had her own choice as well. They even made her a gluten free birthday cake which was very much gratefully received. The room we had was overlooking the road at the front and was a bit stuffy and had to sleep with the door open as there was no air con and this led to early morning wake up calls from the local bin men ( 5am) and then the road sweeper at about 7am. The walk to sorrento town is about 20 mins and there is a lot to see with all the usual bars cafes restaurants. This is a nice area to stay and with the free shuttle bus into town it's easy to get about. With a weeks stay it wasn't enough time to explore all of the places to see so will be booking again to return in the future.

A lovely hotel where all the staff take great pride in their work. We arrived late at night but a lovely meal of cold cuts and fruit was prepared for us. Pino,Angelo,Enrico,Toni and the rest of the restaurant staff looked after us so well. The meals were always delicious with plenty choice. The room was kept spotlessly clean and all the staff are very helpful. Go for a room with a balcony ( floor 3 or 4 ) the balconies are small but nice for sitting with an evening night cap and watching the stars on a warm night. Can't find any fault at all with this hotel or staff. Hope they keep up the high standard.
