The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa

Such a great hotel to stay at in Sonoma. You are a minute from the square and about 15 minutes to Napa. Rooms are recently renovated and nice. Staff was polite. Had breakfast at Carneros Bistro in the hotel every morning and it was phenomenal. Only downside was that we were out in the Broadway building and not the main hotel so we didn't get the beautiful views and didn't end up taking much advantage of the free wine tastings and sangria because of that. I was not aware that there even was a separate building until we got there. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and will definitely be back.

This is a great hotel/resort. Spa was awesome. Genuinely friendly service from front desk & spa staff. Love having the shuttle service to downtown Sonoma! Super convenient! Carneros restaurant (on site) is delicious! I will return again & again if they keep it up.

It was gret place to relax. The free shuttle to Downtown Sonoma was really nice and quick.

We booked this hotel as part of a birthday weekend wine-tasting in Sonoma, after an early dinner at a nearby pub we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed the facilities particularly the heated pool and jacuzzi even in winter. We were not the only birthday party, 3 others joined in. Staff was very helpful with the couple request we had and beds were super comfy.

The hotel is very different from the describrion and should not be considered 4 stars by any means.

This was our third trip to Napa/Sonoma staying at this hotel. This is a very nice facility, though a little pricey for the location. The mandatory $25.00 resort fee was new this year. Not sure what I got in exchange. We did enjoy the nightly wine tasting.

My wife and I loved it, we were there just a couple of nights and we felt in love with hotel, its good clean and beautiful place. Its a little far from the good wine tasting vineyards, but its worth of driving 30 minutes

This hotel is really good, one of the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Our room was super clean and gave us great fan. The window inside the room between bedroom and bathroom can be opened so that we could enjoy bath in open and relaxed atmosphere with drinking wine we got at a winery in Sonoma. Love this hotel and want to stay there again.

We had a very good time at The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa. Everything was very comfortable. Our spa experiences were fantastic. The only thing to note is that the hotel is actually a ways from town, but they do have a great shuttle service. This hotel was very reasonably priced for the quality!

For the price, I expected luxury. This hotel and spa are very nice, but didn't knock my socks off. I don't have any major complaints. But it just wasn't amazing. Also, location is a loooong walk from the center of town, even though it looks like about 4 blocks. If you want a spot by the pool, be sure to get out there at the break of dawn to claim your spot.

Great location to square if you want to fit in that exercise walk. Bus boys and bell handlers perfect and would do anything for you!

Our room was very big and the staff was great! The restaurant was also very good with a welcoming staff.

We really enjoyed our stay here! They are in a perfect location - only a 1 mile walk to Sonoma Plaza (there is a shuttle, but we chose to enjoy the weather and get a walk in...totally flat so very easy). They have complimentary wine tasting each evening and the staff is extremely helpful. The concierge met with us several times, made us reservations, and even offered to help my mom plan her trip to France (even though she won't be staying anywhere associated with this hotel) because that's where she was from! The only reason I wouldn't rate this 5 stars is that the hotel sits right across the street from a small amusement park, so there were a ton of kids staying at the hotel. Fine for the most part especially if you aren't planning to spend all day at the pool, but if you are looking for a romantic stay and want to spend a lot of time at the hotel, this might not be the place to go.

This was a great hotel and great staff. However we did a spa day at the Raindance Spa at the hotel. The massage was spectacular. However the nail polish they used on out mainicure and pedicure chipped in multiple places the first day. It's only been two days since and my nails look pretty terrible. Other than that though I would definitely stay again!

I needed an escape to just relax before the big day and the Sonoma Lodge was the answer!

Clean big rooms, bathrobes, beautiful pool and hot tub, wine tasting, yoga......will definitly stay here again!

This is a nice place but nothing was very special. It was not worth the nearly $400 night price tag. The service was good but not great and the room was nice but the bedding and amenities were not as plush as expected for this price point. This hotel has " good bones" and a great location but I believe they need to amp up the service and the over all feel to earn a repeat stay. The Lodge seems to have so much promise - the lobby area, the bar and the pool areas look great but the lack of service and extra effort makes the experience flat. The only thing that would get me back was the restaurant, Both the food and the service would warrant a recommendation from me and a return visit. The lobby wine tasting was great too!

This hotel has been updated and renovated. It looks awesome. It equals the other spa resorts in the area at a much better price.

My husband and I booked the hotel for our honeymoon. It was super close to downtown Sonoma and about 20 minutes from downtown Napa. Room was great with a deep soak tub and fireplace. We loved the quiet environment around the pool and enjoyed a few late night hot tub soaks. Everything was great until the last day when several hotel goers brought their children. It was kind of a shock to all of us around the pool. This resort screams couples only but apparently the hotel allowed the noisy children. All in all worth the money but just a disappointment with the random children.

promised a lot but delivered little, many things seemed "not quite right" about this place, there was a strange dearth of staff and thus guest cups, plates, cutlery, and towels were strewn all over the main "relaxation" areas by the pool, the cafe had very few staff and was eerily empty, the whole place was soiled / dirty, doors / door handles were dirty, cushions on the couches by the pool were stained, carpets tattered, cigarette butts were in places they shouldn't be. overall, disconcerting for the price!!!!
