The start of our trip was not the best. We were given the keys to an uncleaned room at 4:30. The previous renters did not follow any of the protocols asked of them as far as trash, linens, and just general courtesy to the cleaning staff. Walking into that was not cool to start a vacation bc it leaves you with a bad feeling.I never received a followup email with our check-in and check-out information which would have made the owners three ring binder a non-issue since it has not been updated and does not have the correct information for us to use the locker’s for our skis. The telephone number in the contact information on the site is not correct because the telephone number does not work so I could not talk to the owner personally about any of this when it was happening. I did speak to him later in the evening, after we looked up his number on the internet.When I went back to Allegheny Springs, to talk to them about the room not being cleaned, they told me it would be an hour and a half or more when they called to check with the cleaning staff.It was a series of errors that were compounded bc we’d been traveling and were just ready to settle in. In the end, we left everything in the room and they just didn’t clean the couch area where our things were. We couldn’t see taking it all back to the truck.A suggestion I would make would be if new renters coming in and it is know, be available so that at least someone could talk to the owners. Less frustration!!!
