Went during the fall season and mountain bikes were everywhere even on the walks and steps.. No bike trails, I guess. The room had an alarm clock without a plug so it didnt work. Got it replaced the next afternoon. The blanket had several quarter size holes in it along with some brown splatters on it. Half the shops and restaurants were closed for the season. Food was a little pricey but the drinks were way over priced and of course prices were not on the menu. Also you have to pay to park at this resort! The staff was really great and accommodating.

We were at Snowshoe for the "Treasure on the Mountain" event. Enjoyed every minute of our stay and all of our adventures that weekend. If you have time we recommend the RZR Ace tours (single seat ATVs). The team that take you on the tour are fantastic!

Went for a fundraiser event & hiking weekend. At check in we noticed a sign with per night charges $22 for having trash empties & clean towels/washcloths & about $50 for beds made, etc. Rooms have 1 towel & washcloth per person per day, yes, if you want extra, you pay the fee. This is a resort for outdoor activities-hiking, mountain biking, boating, etc. Most people want to wash more than 1x a day. We'd never heard of any lodging with this policy. Quiet time begins at 10 pm-it is not enforced. We were on pool side & people were out making a lot of noise till 11:30pm. Worst of all, my roommate cut her foot on carpet tacks under a torn piece of carpet. We were told the room owner was told to fix it but obviously had not. The room should not have been rented.

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters and stayed at the Allegheny Springs resort. Had a blast doing razors, scenic chair lift, downhill Mtn biking, lake activities, segways, clay pigeon shooting, driving range, nice pool, and even a small zip line. Just walk out of our door and it's all right there in the quaint Snowshoe village. Definitely get the 3 day adventure pass, which includes all those activities... a true bargain and so much fun! Shopping & restaurants are right there too! So much to do and not crowded at all! We stayed in a studio condo.. which had a kitchenette and living area with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa.

We stayed at Allegheny Springs (Room 428) for 4 days. The rental unit had 3 queen beds and a modern granite kitchen (very nice). We kayaked on the lake, rode on the bike trails and went horseback riding as well. The fireworks were great and the concerts in the Village were enjoyed by all. Having a Starbucks in such a remote location was a huge bonus! Nearby attractions we visited included the Green Bank Telescope and the Cass Scenic Railroad, both were greatly enjoyed the the kids...especially the general store in Cass, which had a nice selection of candy and toys.

We skied at Snowshoe for years when the children were at home but have gone out west since. We thought we would revisit Snowshoe in the summer just to see what it's like these days. Our room at Allegheny Springs was a little grubby and beaten up looking the way ski places tend to get, but overall ok. We had a full kitchen with normal size appliances. Our queen size bed was pushed up close to the wall on one side making it tricky to get in and out of, and with no bedside table on that side. Our room overlooked the pool rather than the mountains which we would have preferred. Overall, it was an okay visit but not really great. On the positive side, the desk personnel were uniformly courteous and helpful.

I came by myself for Wanderlust yoga retreat. I packed all the food I would eat for 3.5 days. The room was perfect - fridge, microwave, 2 burners and kitchenware. TV reception for a couple stations was the only questionable thing. I really enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and just the right size and location.

Stayed for 3 nights. We were on the 3rd floor of a 1 bedroom, My wife, son and myself. Free wifi in room or lodge area. There is no daily cleaning of the rooms, which is not needed, but you can get more supplies if needed, such as towels, shampoo, etc. First entering the property entrance you are welcomed by a lodge style decor with seating and fireplace. We prepurchased our lift tickets and ski rental while making reservations. To access skis and slope, take elevator or stairs down to lower level locker room area where the front desk will provide a combination number for a locker per room. We got our gear on and walked out a door that is about 25 ' from the slopes. We stayed here to be at the slopes and be in the village area. Getting from the 3rd floor to locker room was a little bit of a walk, but expected based on the style of this property. Allegheny Springs is in the village area. Exit this property out the pool gates and the Junction Restaurant is steps away, if you want a draft beer, I recommend the "Old Spruce Draft House". You can get a growler to go, which is filled and placed on a canning machine with a sealed top, one giant beer can, THe Sunset Cantina is also steps away, Fox Fire restaurant have fair prices on sandwiches, but have other item such as steak and seafood at a higher value. A burger cost 8.99. There are several options within walking distance from steak, seafood, sandwiches hot/cold, pizza, etc. I included a photo I took off of our balcony, one shows part of the village area and the other of the swimming pool, not able to see the hot tub from our room, you can see a silver rail to the left of the pool on the photo leading to the hot tub. Overall the price of the room was fair, we used the kitchen to cook food, there is two TV's, 1 full bathroom. The rooms are a little dated, but expected for this type of vacation area. Scale 1-5: I will give the "service" at front desk a 4 , (did not have room service or any other service so understand what I am rating), the room was clean, so I give it a 4, although due to the decor and carpet, maybe be a 3 for some. I have stayed at 5 different properties at Snowshoe, they all have their pros and cons, which is a personal preference of the location and amenities.

There were a BUNCH of kids running around and screaming at ALL hours. The manager was very good about taking care of it. Not all of the rooms are the same either. The people we stayed with had a kitchen, oven, full size fridge/freezer whereas our room had a kichenette.

Stayed in 10+ different places at Snowshoe. Ended up making a late season run up with a friend and found a nice studio unit here. Perfect size and location. Everything you needed from kitchen, tv, etc. Would def stay here again.
