I understand that it is mostly a winter resort, but they are supposed to be open in the summer. The place seemed like half open. Limited restaurant, bar, and other services. And honestly, the staff were rude at times. Surprisingly lame for a Hyatt resort
Great location, in house restaurant was top notch!
Air conditioning in room was quite loud. Beds very comfortable
Pros: - location (short walk 50 yards to ski run) ski-out / ski-in - reasonably priced for Aspen Snowmass Cons: - the room was hot and did not have an air condition - parking was $12.50 a day (really!) - room was especially dated - we paid more for the room (and parking) than a moderately priced hotel room that would have been updated and offered more in-room amenities (air conditioning, microwave)
Great location and room and staff is awesome
The Pool & restaurant were very nice. The rooms however were a little outdated and a little old, which weren't always as pictured in the photos. Rooms don't have A/C which wasn't an issue but good to know. Beds were comfortable, shower was lacking in water pressure & consistent hot water. Overall, It was a fair price for what we paid but it wasn't a luxurious stay.
A really great property with lots of amenities. Highly recommend.
Great location. Clean rooms and staff is very friendly.
Nice rooms, very comfortable beds. The only negative was that we could hear loud shower next door in the middle of the night.
I liked that you could text the front desk at anytime instead of having to call them, and the restaurant/bar in the lobby was awesome
It was a little run down. The door locks are old so keys stop working if they get demagnetized in the slightest, which happened 4 times. The maids knock on your door at 9AM. The WiFi has regular hiccups preventing Netflix from streaming well. Our fridge broke, but they replaced it fast. The steam room was also broken. The pool was awesome, it was 85 degrees in winter. The shuttle to the airport was free, but had too many people so some had to stand in the van.
Nice hotel, but it was extremely hot so sleeping was almost impossible. It’s not unusual for mountain lodges to have no air conditioning, but the hotel was in a very noisy area, with delivery trucks arriving through the night, and lots of horns honking, so we had the choice of a noisy and cooler room, or a sweltering and quiet room.
I made a reservation at this hotel as I wanted to stay somewhere above 9500 feet in elevation. I am a "flatlander" and was coming out to Aspen/Snowmass area to backpack for 4 days, so needed some time to altitude acclimate. I arrived about 4:00 pm, and check-in went very smoothly. Reservation was as made thru Orbitz, and rate was as published. Bell service was offered, but I carried my own luggage in.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but with no air conditioning and the windows open, there was constant activity all night long that was extremely loud, including a trash truck in the middle of the night.
