We had our staycation at this hotel as we had a free night stay from one of the credit card company. The location was great but the room is superly small. We had requested for an extra bed and initially wanted to upgrade to balcony room. However was told if we want to add an extra bed then balcony room cannot fit so we just stayed in the deluxe room which we barely had space for walking. As with other reviews the bathroom design it is indeed not ideal. In addition, there is a hole design on the door so imagine if we were there to stay with a friend or colleague it will be so inconvenient. We also paid for the breakfast in the hotel and was disappointed. Spread was not good and clearly shorthanded as the table was not clean. The swimming pool is shared with the residence and because there were only a few chairs there were a lot of people just lying down on the floor with their towel. Besides the swimming pool definitely needs some renovation works. The floor tiles were already coming out. Nevertheless the hotel is definitely situated in a super good location. It is ideal for business travellers.

I have stayed in a few Singapore hotels so I feel I know what to expect. To try and make it short. The front desk staff is not good (Excluding the bell hops). Defiantly not professional when comparing to other local 4 stars(many errors). As well the rooms are smaller than average. I feel your paying for 3 star hotel at 4 star prices. Yes the location being above the MTR is good. Never tried the breakfast but many people saying its terrible.

The Dorsett is very conveniently located. Whether on official or personal trip, in the evening you can step out for a walk to nearby Chinatown for dinner or a drink. The young hotel staff in the reception are friendly and cheerful but I wish the older staff at the restaurant where as cheerful as their younger colleagues. Breakfast at the hotel is functional and the menu is basic. Dorsett is fine for short stays.!

We were there from 25-30th March, 2018. First I chose a family loft room, which was not comfortable and suited for us. On demand, they changed the room in a Deluxe room with extra bed without any charge. I had opted the loft room of Rs.13000/- per night. Deluxe room was of Rs.9000/- per night. In lieu of this, they offered a complimentary breakfast for us till our check out. Hotel location is very good and nearby to OUTRAM PARK Metro Station. Hotel is located at Chinatown. The hotel staff was very good especially Ms. Aishah & Ms. Angelia who were well supported throughout our whole stay. The hotel is half an hour drive away from Changi Airport with nominal fare i.e. 20 Singapore Dollar.

Take no notice of the TV screen at the entry of the restaurant this is fictitious and certainly not that good. The staff are helpful and obliging but the outdoor garden is just astroturf and no seating. But worst is the piano in the lobby it .is painful just playing random notes is painful

The Dorsett has a direct connection to Outram Park MRT, which certainly makes it convenient for transport. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel. The rooms are quite small though not unexpected in Singapore particularly at this price point. I stayed for nearly 2 weeks on a business trip and towards the end I was beginning to feel cramped in that space. I was quite disappointed with the WiFi as I had high expectations given Singapore's well connected reputation. The 4G connection from the Handyphone provided was much faster. The breakfast spread did not vary much over the course of my stay so towards the end I explored options outside. Since Chinatown is a short walk away, then it was not a problem. I would stay here more for a leisure trip or a short business trip but for an extended trip I would tend to seek other options.

Booked a 'luxurious Secret Escape' at 50% off, and what a terrible mistake I made. The hote's 4 star rating is a joke, and an insult to Singapore's hospitality industry. The first room I was assigned was too small to swing a cat, and had to pay for an upgrade to a larger room, which wasn't much better. The mini bar was inadequately stocked (2 soft drinks and 3 beers), there was no room service after 8:30 pm, the breakfast was pretty ordinary, half the lobby was a 'left luggage' faculty, vending machines in the lobby, - DEFINITELY NOT a 'luxurious' experience. Whose idea of a joke was this?

I am the type of person who will choose to stay in a budget hotel instead of business hotel. Turns out i am kind of addicted to stay in this type of hotel. Well not every business hotel will offer the something like this hotel did but overall i had a great stay here. The room was pretty spacious, pretty quiet. I have a good rest here since i already walk around the city all day. One of dissapointment only on breakfast. I ordered an omelette for 2 times to a middle aged lady and she forgot to make my egg. I am not sure that it was that busy, but i don't expect to ask it twice yet i was still not getting my order. But this hotel had a great location, just 5 minutes walk from the mrt station. Will come back again for sure :)

Great hotel, enjoyed my stay here. There are a lot of bars or restaurants located next to the hotel, in those nicely maintained colonial shop houses building. Chinatown is just a stone throw away too. It's never a problem walking in Singapore, because they have a lot of trees and thus it doesn't feel so hot. Metro is just below the hotel, making it extremely convenient.

Check in was quick and polite at 11pm. Room is clean with basic amenities. Location is good, just outside Outram MRT station and behind Chinatown area with lots of eateries nearby. Breakfast spread not too bad as well. Would stay here again.
