Great but could do with some maintenance

We very much enjoyed staying in Rurberg, it is a very beautiful and peaceful area. We enjoyed walking, canoeing and boat trips all of which were only ten minutes away from the house . The house itself was impressive and had plenty of space and we enjoyed using the pool table and air hockey table and spent many relaxing hours on the veranda using the comfy outdoor furniture provided. However, unfortunately the house was not very clean, it was dusty and had cobwebs and the kitchen felt greasy and sticky. Also, we felt the house needed a bit more maintaining , that is the blinds were broken in 2 of the bedrooms and the light bulbs did not work in the upstairs hallway or in the bed side lamp in the middle bedroom. Also, if you are visiting from the UK you need to be aware that standard UK sheets do not fit the beds in the house and also we did not realise there would not be any toilet rolls or towels provided . Also shops in Germany are closed on Sundays so we could not get provisions until Monday although café’s at the riverside were open for food. Additionally the house was minimal in terms of furniture, although the lounge was comfy enough there were no bed side tables or bedside lights in the bedrooms and the bathroom was small and always damp, we have fed this back so this may improve. However, saying that the area was lovely and we had a good week there.

Ungewöhnliches Ferienhaus in schöner Lage

Das Ferienhaus ist idyllisch in der Eifel gelegen und vor Ort ist es sehr ruhig und man hört die Vögel im Wald zwitschern. Das Ferienhaus ist ungewöhnlich, da es auf der einen Seite Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten bietet wie einen Billard- und einen Air-Hockey-Tisch. Alles ist sehr geräumig und die Ausstattung der Küche ist umfassend. Auf der anderen Seite ist das Haus und die Einrichtung aus den 50er/60er-Jahren und wurde an vielen Stellen auch bereits renoviert. Die Sauberkeit in der Küche und dem Bad waren gut - in den Schlafzimmern musste man doch noch einmal saugen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war zunächst super - er hat abends angerufen und gefragt ob alles OK ist. Da war auch noch alles gut. Leider war ein Thermostat defekt und ein Schlafzimmer auf 23C aufgeheizt - da gab es dann leider keine Rückmeldung. Wir hatten aber alles in allem einen schönen Kurzurlaub für vier Tage.

schön mit ein paar Macken

Es ist ein geräumiges Haus, sogar für eine 6-köpfige Familie. Wir haben Billard, Tischtennis und Airhockey sowie die schöne Terrasse sehr genossen. Ein paar merkwürdige Details sind die vielen Kameras rund um das Haus. Wir haben uns gefragt, warum, denn in Rurberg scheint es nicht viel Kriminalität zu geben. Die Kameras, die sich beim Vorbeigehen drehen, vermittelten uns ein etwas „unheimliches“ Gefühl. Der Besitzer beobachtete uns auch mit den Kameras, weil er uns anrief und uns mitteilte, dass wir nicht auf den kleinen Fußweg neben dem Haus gehen dürften, um heruntergefallene Tischtennisbälle aufzusammeln. Aus irgendeinem Grund war ihm das sehr wichtig. Außerdem war es seltsam, dass wir ihn anrufen mussten, um die Waschmaschine oder den Trockner zu benutzen (der Strom für diese Geräte muss von ihm aus der Ferne eingeschaltet werden, was in den Informationen nicht angegeben ist, auf den ersten Blick scheint es einfach nicht zu funktionieren). Er kam auch vorbei, um einige Reparaturen im Haus durchzuführen. Dann hat er den Badeanzug meiner Frau, der draußen zum Trocknen lag, in die Mülltonne geworfen. Aber im Großen und Ganzen waren das nur ein paar kleine Macken und wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung!

Very nice holidays

We spent 9 days in the house with our family and had a wonderful time. The house is a bit atypical but it also makes it nice and original. Good location, nice terrasse with a lounge, clean rooms, nice bathrooms, and the various games (kicker, pool, table tennis,...). Maybe some information was lacking (like some apparels work on a separate network with a timer like the washing machine) but globally there was no major issue. I recommend the place, definitely! AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION Wir haben 9 Tage mit unserer Familie in dem Haus verbracht und hatten eine wundervolle Zeit. Das Haus ist ein bisschen untypisch, aber es macht es auch schön und originell. Gute Lage, schöne Terrasse mit Lounge, saubere Zimmer, schöne Badezimmer und die verschiedenen Spiele (Kicker, Billard, Tischtennis, ...). Vielleicht fehlten einige Informationen (z. B. funktionieren einige Kleidungsstücke in einem separaten Netzwerk mit einem Timer wie die Waschmaschine), aber global gesehen gab es kein größeres Problem. Ich empfehle den Ort auf jeden Fall!

Entspannter Urlaub in schöner Umgebung

Für die Freizeitbeschäftigung sehr gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus, mit Potential nach oben was die Modernität der Küche und der Fenster angeht. Mehr Möglichkeiten zur Reinigung (Besen, Kehrschaufel) wären praktisch gewesen. Aber von diesem Jammern auf hohem Niveau nicht täuschen lassen, der Urlaub in dem Haus war sehr angenehm und die riesige Dachterrasse ein Traum. Ganz zu schweigen von der Umgebung, 10 Minuten zu Fuß bis ins kostenfreie Freibad, 5 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad bis zum Naturschutzgebiet Eifel. Entspannung ist hier leicht zu finden.

Perfekter Ort für eine kleine Auszeit

Das Haus war so wie beschrieben und hatte eine Menge an Aktivitäten zu bieten mit Billardtisch und Kicker. Wir waren als Freundesgruppe vor Ort und konnten zu sechst eine schöne Zeit verbringen. Die Lage ist traumhaft, in 5 Minuten ist man am See und hat von dort aus viele Möglichkeiten zu Fuß Die Gegend zu erkunden. Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Vermieter war immer ansprechbar und konnte kurzfristig helfen.

Insgesamt sehr zufrieden

Wunderschöne Region, viele Aktivitäten möglich. Helles, riesiges und angenehmes Haus, das den Beschreibungen in der Anzeige voll und ganz entspricht. Gute Ausstattung, z.B. Haushaltsgeräte und insbesondere audiovisuelle und Multimedia-Geräte. Für Billard, Tischtennis, Kicker und Air-Hockey-Tisch gibt es weitere Pluspunkte. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Er hat sich mehrmals telefonisch gemeldet, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Da das Haus voll vernetzt ist, gab es nur eine "virtuelle" Übergabe. Wir fanden schade, dass es nicht möglich war, die Heizung selbst zu regulieren, ohne dass der Vermieter eingreifen musste. Außerdem waren weder Bettwäsche noch Handtücher inbegriffen (obwohl 10 Euro berechnet wurden). Fünf Sterne für die Kommunikation mit der Agentur, obwohl wir die Agentur überhaupt nicht in Anspruch genommen haben, kommen daher, dass wir die Gesamtnote nicht verschlechtern wollten. Diese "erforderliche" Frage ist hier überflüssig.

Viel Platz für Erholung

Unweit des Rursees gelegen ist das Objekt der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Eifel. Das obere Geschoss ist sehr großzüging angelegt. Ein großer Raum inklusive Biiliardtisch. Bei gutem Wetter kann man die große Terrase geniessen. Wir hatten Glück, nachts auch noch den klaren Sternemhimmel zu sehen. Man hat hier seine Ruge und ist abgeschirmt von den Nachbarn. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man für den Urlaubbraucht. WLAN ist selbstverständlich auch da und funktionierte bei uns einwandfrei

Netter Kontakt, unkompliziert

Ferienhaus wie beschrieben, viele Möglichkeiten sich im Haus zu beschäftigen, Billard, Kicker, Tischrennis u. mehr. Das Ferienhaus machte einen aufgeräumten sauberen Eindruck, in der Küche war alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Die Umgebeung läd zum Wandern und Fahrradfahren ein, aber auch Kanutouren oder eine Bootsfahrt sind möglich
