Casa na Colina, a beautiful villa lies high on top of a ridge in private and secluded gardens giving wonderful views of the Monchique mountains and the south coast. It is ideal for those wishing to relax in tranquility in a typical Portuguese hamlet with nearby orange groves, olive trees and vineyards. This very attractive property is light and spacious with double doors to three sides of the large 36 sq.m. lounge which is fitted with comfortable sofas, log burning stove, TV. Showing UK, Dutch/Belgium, German, and Portuguese channels. Dining for six and air/con.The fully fitted well equipped kitchen/breakfast room includes a dishwasher and washing machine with double doors to lead you onto a shaded terrace with marble table and BBQ, where meals can be taken overlooking the countryside. The kidney shaped ,weekly maintained, 10m x 5m pool and surrounding tropical garden are a special feature of the property where whole days can be spent, relaxing in the sun, or lounging in the shade under either the lovely wooden gazebo or the patio from the lounge, or watching the glorious sunsets.To complete the accommodation, Bed.1 -super king size bed, fitted wardrobes, air-con. Bed.2- king size double, fitted wardrobes, air-con. Bed.3- 2single beds, chest of drawers, air-con. Bathroom 1- marble tiled with marble full length vanity top and mirror, bath/shower, wc, and bidet. A wonderful family holiday

There were four of us staying for two weeks and Casa na Colina had all we needed for a wonderful holiday. The pool and outside space are the highlights, particularly late afternoon and into the evening (when the sunsets are something to behold) and the villa as a whole is comfortable, clean and had all the facilities we needed. We certainly did not want to leave!Exploring the local area is easy as the villa is well placed to reach the many towns within a 30 min drive or so. Colin and Barbara are excellent hosts, providing help when it is needed - right from the outset - and they have a great team helping locally.

Sunset Paradise

Just returned from a wonderful two weeks in Casa Na Colina. The house has everything you need, both inside and out. The pool is great and sitting on the terrace watching the gorgeous sunsets was a real treat. The house is away from the busy tourists areas of the Algarve but if you want beaches, water parks etc they are a thirty minute drive away, so a car is essential. The hosts and villa manager are very helpful and we would happily recommend the villa and we were very sorry when it was time to leave!

Couldn't have asked for more

First time in Portugal and the Hilltop Villa was a perfect place to stay. The house itself was wonderful. Had everything we needed and more. Spotlessly clean. Exactly as described. Housekeeping service in the middle weekend gave us clean linens and towels. The outside area also perfect for us. It was a little windier than we had expected (warm winds though) but if anything that made things a little more bearable. Lowest high was 29 but most of the days were 33/34. Pool was great. Communications with agent and the owner (Colin) were everything you could ask for. Would highly recommend. Everyone enjoyed it. Was a great base if you dont want to be in the middle of the real tourist hotspots on the coast but a half hour drive took you there.

Silves Villa Stay

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone choosing to stay here. Although we got a little lost leaving Faro airport we soon found our way and using Colin's directions found the villa with no trouble. Colin had also provided directions to the local supermarket so we were able to stock up on necessary provisions before arriving. Walking into the villa we couldn't believe how big it was! Everything had been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We opted to have the pool heated, even though the temperature reached 30 degrees while we were there, and this made the water nice and tepid rather than freezing cold when getting in. There is an abundance of pool toys as well as boules and a couple of other garden games. If like me you like to relax and read a book there are books in the villa too! We had a visit from Mike who is an expat, lives locally and does some bits and pieces for Colin. He was super friendly and recommended some good places to visit as did Debbie, the management agent when she visited on the Monday. For us, this was a week to relax and recharge and that's exactly what we did. We did do the Segway in Vilamoura (super fun), an Escape Room near Albufeira and the family crazy golf in Vilamoura too (not all on the same day LOL!) We would absolutely come back. Thanks so much!

Villa with great views

The villa is set in a quiet location, car is essential. Beaches are about a 25 min drive and Silves is just a 10 min drive away where you can find restaurants, supermarkets and a fresh local produce market. The views from the villa are fantastic. The pool and outside seating areas are plentiful. The villa is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great communication with the owner, Colin. We really enjoyed our stay!

What a gem!

Colin and Barbara have a beautiful well equipped home, communication with both them and Debbie fantastic even to the point of calling us as we left something behind. Instructions for everything made life simple and easy. Excellent recommendations on local restaurants from Debbie and we had a peaceful and very relaxing 2 weeks. Silves is a lovely traditional Portuguese town with some excellent restaurants, a lovely castle and a friendly population. Peaceful Spot to stay near Silves

The is 10 minutes outside Silves, in a quiet rural hillside location. You do need a car because there are no restaurants within walking distance, The villa is large and very well equipped with several terraces, including poolside, front and kitchen, so you can follow the sun, or hide from it, throughout the day. Very comfortable property with excellent support from owner/management if required.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful week in July. The villa was very clean and well equipped, and the communication with the owner, Colin and the manager, Debbie was superb. The villa is beautifully positioned with lovely views all around. It was incredibly hot during our stay, but made bearable with the air con inside and the various shaded spots in the garden. The pool was a good size for us and a lovely temperature (we opted for it heated). Silves was only a short drive away with various restaurants and supermarkets. All in all a fabulous week and we would definitely like to return.

A Relaxing Welcome Break

Prior to our trip, we had great communication from Colin, who had been helpful as due to the recent changes in travel due to Covid, our flights had changed. He was able to organise a welcome pack for us as our original flight time had been pushed back and we were due to arrive after the supermarkets had closed. Ironically, our flight then arrived early, so we were able to get to the supermarket en route! Colin's directions made the villa easy to find and we were wowed as soon as we opened the door! Everything was spotlessly clean and ready for us to relax. There are stunning views from both the front and back of the villa, the front looks out over countryside to the sea and the back look out to hills with an occasional view of the nearby dam. There was only two of us, so plenty of room to spread out and we used the pool every day. The pool heating is super efficient and it was lovely to enjoy the sun. If you find the sun gets too hot, there are various areas around the house with seating, so you can always find some shade. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything that you need. Doors open onto a shaded back terrace, with a table and benches plus a gas barbecue, great for relaxing meals. The large fridge has plenty of room for wine and beer as well as food! The villa is well furnished and immaculately clean, we certainly had no concerns about Covid during our stay - you could do as much or as little as you wanted - most of the time we just relaxed by the pool. We did venture into Silves and visited the castle (there's a car park just up from the castle to save walking up the hill). It was so quiet while we were there, lovely to just sit and have some lunch in the small restaurant inside the castle. Even with the current Covid fears, we always felt totally safe at the villa, we even managed to book our return PCR test via a video link, so no need to venture out if you don't need to. We would have no hesitation in recommending Colin and Barbara's home and hope to be able to visit again at some point in the future. One tip - allow plenty of time when you return to Faro airport - we found that even though the airport was not busy, they seemed to find it hard to cope with all the extra checks that need to be done (Portugal had been downgraded to the amber list when we visited) - we arrived the required 2 hours prior to take off and the plane was already boarding by the time we got through all the security.

Brilliant Experiance

From the very first moment we entered the property we were wow'ed. It was clean spacious and the views were just mesmerising. It was quiet and not over looked so it felt very private. The way the property is laid out we automatically moved around to various seating areas following/avoiding the sun. The breeze that every one has mentioned to be a problem in the reviews was a blessing as it took the edge off the heat. The sunsets were particularly breath taking. The owners/ Management were polite helpful and prompt in their response. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone choosing to visit this area.

Holiday of two halves

We recently spent two weeks in Silves in this lovely villa. The first week we were joined by our daughter and teenage granddaughter. They loved the pool and the gazebo along with the gorgeous sunsets. The second week, we had to ourselves and really enjoyed the solitude and the views. This holiday was made even more relaxing because of the ease of contact with Colin and the manager. Will decently be returning
