Hotel staff and its facilities are awesome! It is a great choice and also well located (10 blocks from the Pub Street). The swimming pool is very nice! Breakfast has a variety of many tasty things with veg and non veg options!
This is a big modern hotel with vast corridors & large grounds. The rooms are spacious & bathroom adequate but shower is over the bath with a rather dirty shower curtain. The lighting was very dim in the room & internet was very slow or non-existent. We stayed for 2 nights & our room was not cleaned properly or the towels replaced. The breakfast was the worst that we had had on our trip so far. Very poor selection and inferior standard of cooking. The good points of this hotel were the very nice staff, the location near to the National Museum & fairly close to Pub Street and the lovely big pool & grounds.
Where do I begin, we stayed at the Angkor Century March 4th to the 8th. This was our second trip to Siem Reap, and will not be our last thanks to the staff at this hotel. They can't do enough to help you but are not bothersome at all. From the doormen to the reception staff to the buffet manager, and pool bar staff they all made our trip wonderful. Okay the hotel itself is in an excellent location, far enough away from Pub Street, but close enough to walk if you want. A block away from the Angkor Museum. The pool and pool area is beautiful. Not busy and they let you swim after 8:00 (officially closed), just be quiet as all the rooms overlook the pool. Our room was clean and everything worked. Beds were comfy and excellent pillows. We had our own balcony which was fantastic. Our first morning the buffet manager approached us as we entered the room. And promptly asked if we would like bacon, as it wasn't in the buffet. Every morning as soon as he saw us , he would ask bacon? We wanted a tuk tuk driver that spoke good English for our Angkor Wat day, and they delivered. You will not be disappointed if you book this hotel. I know I will recommend it to anyone I know that is traveling to Siem Reap
I was staying at an airbnb during my stay in Siem Reap, but was dying for a swim given the 35 degree heat and high humidity. I paid $8 to use the pool one day. The price is the day rate for using the spa facilities so if inclined, I could have got more value out of the fee. There are other cheaper places to swim, but I'd read a good review about this place, so thought I'd treat myself. I went around 5pm and had the pool to myself for a while. Even when others came in, there was still plenty of space to swim circuits in relative peace. If I'd had more time in SR, I'd have come back for more swims. Super relaxing.
After a very warm welcome through the hotel stuff we are guided with MR. Piseth to our room. He explained the room with all animaties very well. The hotel is overall very clean and the hotel staff are very friendly and attendent. The breakfast is very good and very various. If we travel again to Siem Reap we would stay in the hotel again !!
The accommodations were above average. The pool was very good. The hotel is well located. However, The best part of this hotel experience is restaurant staff Mr. Tola is Very very accommodating and friendly. He remembered our names and welcomed us home each time we entered.
A very large hotel with a large pool and day spa. The rooms are very roomy with a comfortable chair and table which is always good. My bathroom had a very stained toilet seat that was loose and the grab rail in the shower over the bath was quite loose too. I noticed in the restaurants that the chairs were often badly stained and the table cloths looked very marked too. My room was at the front of other hotel and there was a lot of traffic noise. The staff however were exceptional! I don’t think I have ever experienced such warm wonderful staff who bent over backwards to make you feel so welcome. They truly are this hotels biggest asset.
We recommend the Angkor Century Resort as it is a very good location with comfortable, quiet rooms and an excellent and very attentive staff. The room was quiet, food was good and the pool was refreshing!
This hotel was truly disgusting. It is posing as a 5* hotel but is more the level of a 2*/3*. The positives: It is near lots of restaurants and shops. The negatives: - It is in need of a good refurbishment and thorough deep clean. The rooms have carpets in which are filthy, stained and smelly. The whole room smells as a result. The carpet is therefore very sticky due to the staining and one is unable to walk with bare feet. - The staff are very lazy and disinterested. Normally in 5* hotels they are very engaging and helpful. They do not want to help. When we complained about the state of our room, the front of house staff pretended there were no free rooms. We had already booked a non-refundable deal so we were stuck in this hotel. If you are coming to Siem Reap there are plenty of better hotels, which are better priced. Often the doormen and women are missing from the front door - when we arrived there was no one to help with luggage etc. - The bathrooms are old, stained and falling apart. - I have travelled all over the world, and This breakfast buffet is the worst one I have ever seen. There is no choice. They don’t even have brown bread - just white. The unwrapped butter floats in a bowl of cold water. They only have a choice of 2 fruits and these were covered in flies this morning. It’s self service for tea and coffee. No staff attend the tables to see if you are doing ok. They are only interested in collecting your meal tickets for breakfast. - Many of the machines in this gym do not work. When we highlighted this to the staff they were not helpful. - I do not think this hotel is concerned about the poor customer service they provide. They rely on income from the large tour groups that come daily - therefore they are not interested in revenue or good reviews from individual guests. - I have attached photos to highlight the dust and staining we found in our rooms. Do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else. I regret booking this hotel and wasting my money!
the day i do the swimming in the morning after breakfast, i take the bath afterwards. initially i have water for bath. but gradually water is getting less and cold. and finally there is no more water coming out. furthermore, the flushing water also gone. how can it be ranked 4 star?????
