This hotel was truly disgusting. It is posing as a 5* hotel but is more the level of a 2*/3*. The positives: It is near lots of restaurants and shops. The negatives: - It is in need of a good refurbishment and thorough deep clean. The rooms have carpets in which are filthy, stained and smelly. The whole room smells as a result. The carpet is therefore very sticky due to the staining and one is unable to walk with bare feet. - The staff are very lazy and disinterested. Normally in 5* hotels they are very engaging and helpful. They do not want to help. When we complained about the state of our room, the front of house staff pretended there were no free rooms. We had already booked a non-refundable deal so we were stuck in this hotel. If you are coming to Siem Reap there are plenty of better hotels, which are better priced. Often the doormen and women are missing from the front door - when we arrived there was no one to help with luggage etc. - The bathrooms are old, stained and falling apart. - I have travelled all over the world, and This breakfast buffet is the worst one I have ever seen. There is no choice. They don’t even have brown bread - just white. The unwrapped butter floats in a bowl of cold water. They only have a choice of 2 fruits and these were covered in flies this morning. It’s self service for tea and coffee. No staff attend the tables to see if you are doing ok. They are only interested in collecting your meal tickets for breakfast. - Many of the machines in this gym do not work. When we highlighted this to the staff they were not helpful. - I do not think this hotel is concerned about the poor customer service they provide. They rely on income from the large tour groups that come daily - therefore they are not interested in revenue or good reviews from individual guests. - I have attached photos to highlight the dust and staining we found in our rooms. Do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else. I regret booking this hotel and wasting my money!
the day i do the swimming in the morning after breakfast, i take the bath afterwards. initially i have water for bath. but gradually water is getting less and cold. and finally there is no more water coming out. furthermore, the flushing water also gone. how can it be ranked 4 star?????
This was really luxury at its best. The staff were super. They were there to please! What a pleasure it had been to be spoilt by everyone from the doorman to the cleaners! The added bonus was a free cultural show on certain evenings. This was amazing as the show had traditional skits, music and dances depicting the Cambodian life. Was well enjoyed by all who attended. The spa offered great treatments and was most enjoyable with their expert therapists.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the pool area, very nice. Mr Piseth helped us in arranging trips. Ask him or someone else in the staff for advice and they will help you. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the centre where there are plenty of good restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting Siam Riep and Angkor Wat. The room was clean and comfortable. The attention that the staff provided was superb. They learned my name at the beginning and I was always greeted warmly. The location to downtown was great, only a 5 minute ride by Tuk-Tuk. There's a nice pool to relax and a spa. Free WiFi worked great in my room.
The hotel has spacious grounds, garden & a nice big pool, its just north of the main town, & therefore quieter set back on the road, & closer to Angkor Wat heritage site. Its close also to the river, we often walked to the town centre or back again (we are retired not young) The staff were very friendly, the room are clean very comfortable beds, rooms bit small for large hotel, bathroom bit small but you don't spend much time there. Breakfast was OK slightly variable depending on the different types of guests, mot people only stay couple days were were there longer. The rooms have nice balconies but no furniture to sit on, must admit never asked, sat by the pool below. Transport free one way from airport but not dear for return trip.
This hotel is located in a very strategic location and you have access to all the attractions famous Pub street is just five minutes away there is a close by supermarket open 24 hours. Very friendly staff and excellent service by the room service staff. Always you’ll find TUK TUK in the hotel and traveling is very cheap. Always keep one dollar notes for taxies
We were impressed with the warm hospitality from the time we arrived to when we departed, We were greeted warmly with Kroma ceremony and escorted by Piseth to our rooms after we got registered. I had my back pack left in the vehicle that brought us to the hotel. He immediately called the travel guide and had him locate it and bring it to me.When one couple in our party had their arrival delayed till late in the night. Piseth made arrangements for their ride from the airport to the hotel, and their room assigned & ready upon their arrival. The entire staff was courteous and provided excellent service throughout our stay.
It is a nice base. About 10 mins drive from the airport and a 2 min drive from Pub Street. Very convenient to explore Siem Reap. The rooms are nice, clean and big. Mattresses tend to be hard but the hotel does offer a topper for extra softness on request. The swimming pool is fantastic. The staff is exceptional and always willing to help. They also provide a one way complimentary pick up/drop to the airport. We had a great stay but just a couple of points that would have made us give a 5 star rating: 1. The breakfast is below average and leaves a lot to be desired. Needs a lot of sprucing up to match 4/5 star standards. 2. The tuk tuks provided by the hotel are more than twice the cost of what you can step out on the road and negotiate for yourself. We would request future guests to flag one down themselves. (Its a 1$ ride to pub street while from the hotel its 3$.) Also having booked an Angkor Wat tour through the hotel; the condition of the tuk tuk offered was rickety and dirty. This after paying 30$ (quote price was 38$ which we brought down). And the outside rate of the same was 20$. The least you expect for paying a premium is a better quality tuk tuk. However the driver was nice.
We had a lovely welcome, staff wonderful (as are all Cambodians we have met). They put on a welcome show for us and staff were superb. Breakfast very nice but rooms a little dated. Pool area beautiful and spa very reasonable. Pub Street close by and a visit is a must.
