What an exquisite and delightful place to stay! A traditional bed and breakfast hosted by a gracious couple who provide an elegant breakfast (and charcuterie board as an extra one evening) in a charming setting. My daughter and I felt like royalty while staying here! It was also a short walk to downtown and boutiques/restaurants.We look forward to our next visit.

Nous avons louĂ© une chambre pour la nuit du 16 avril dernier au gite Ăźle de Garde au montant de 212,40$, (252$ avec taxes) affichĂ© sur ExpĂ©dia. Tout Ă©tait parfait, l’accueil, la superbe maison, le petit dĂ©jeuner exquis et l’entretien avec les hĂŽtes charmants. Quelque peu avant notre dĂ©part j'ai demandĂ© au propriĂ©taire si tout Ă©tait rĂ©glĂ© puisque j'avais donnĂ© ma carte de crĂ©dit Ă  Expedia/ Hotels au moment de la rĂ©servation. Il m'a rĂ©pondu 'oui' et que nous pouvions laisser la clĂ© dans la chambre. Parfait. Sur le chemin de retour une demi-heure plus tard madame notre hĂŽtesse m’appelle et me dit que la chambre n’était pas rĂ©glĂ©e alors je me suis excusĂ©e profondĂ©ment en lui donnant ma carte de crĂ©dit. Quelle surprise quand j'ai reçu mon compte de carte de crĂ©dit. Le montant de ce sĂ©jour d'une nuit devait ĂȘtre de 252$ or le montant sur ma carte de crĂ©dit, 290,66$, a Ă©tĂ© gonflĂ© illĂ©galement de 37,91 $ de plus. Ceci reprĂ©sente prĂšs de 18% quand on calcul les taxes sur 212$.  J'Ă©cris donc au propriĂ©taire et on me rĂ©pond que le montant Ă©tait exact puisque j'avais laissĂ© un pourboire! Faux. Nous n’avons jamais Ă©tĂ© sollicitĂ© pour laisser un pourboire. Nous n’avons jamais autorisĂ© ni par Ă©crit, ni verbalement la perception d’un pourboire pour l’occupation de la chambre. Par la suite j’ai demandĂ© des explications au propriĂ©taire mais on ne m’a jamais rĂ©pondu. Devons-nous conclure que maintenant les pourboires sont obligatoires mĂȘme sans notre consentement pour l’occupation d’une chambre?
