We stayed here after visiting the China Folk Cultural Village. Hotel and room were nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Had many food choices including Japanese, American, and Chinese food choices. Especially liked the rice noodle soup.
Itbis really a high standard. By luck, we could manage to reserve the room for a decent price, but the rest remained expensive. The location of the hotel is also great. Perfect breakfast and a fancy bar/ pool area.
I’m living in front of Venice, When I have some time I always go there for a cup of coffee or some bites. I love to chill at the terrace in “la piazza” which has a really relaxing environment to have meetings , just hang out with friends or read a book. 1. Coffee is perfect 2. Food is tasty 3. The staff is professional The staff is very polite, Specially the managers Allan and Mauro, they always take care of me and they know perfectly my preferences. Highly recommended
I typically stay at either Marriott or Hilton properties and when it was suggested to stay at The Venice, I was hesitant. This review is based on arriving at hotel at 10pm and departing at 8:30am. Take it for what it is. It seemed when I arrived the hotel, it is in a great spot and as you guessed, has an Italian theme. Before I arrived, it sounded corny, but it works, surprisingly. The front desk was very friendly and check in was fast and efficient. There seemed to be a small bar that was open, but since I was too tired, I didn’t check it out. The room was very clean and had a strong WiFi signal. Breakfast buffet was very good, though seemed “smaller” than other Asian hotels. Food was good. Checkout was fast and effortless. Though a very short time, I would come back for some additional time before I decide to give up points for a hotel that isn’t part of my hotel membership.
Do not book for this week unless you enjoy the thundering rattle of jack-hammering that starts at 9:00 a.m. (audible even from the 14th floor), while the gym adjacent to the pool area is under construction. This carries on until evening, when the incredibly noisy loudspeaker announcements from the amusement park across the street kick in for the rest of the night. The dust from the construction work is so thick in the hotel corridors leading to the pool that the staff is wearing protective masks.
We arrived at this hotel almost at midnight. The hotel is, I believe, 15~20km away from down town. The room seemed nice. The washroom amenities were nicely arranged to match their logo. Breakfast had English speaking serving personnel, most likely from Europe. That was a peace of mind when trying to get an answer. The breakfast items had a wide variety to choose from. We had come for a sponsored business trip from Huawei. The front desk did not seem prompt in English which may deter guest in choosing this as a 5star hotel
I have been travelling to Shenzhen a couple of times per year, for business, since 2014 and I have always stayed in this hotel. Rooms are big and comfortable. Furniture looks slightly old-style, but still in good status. Staff is kind and always ready to help you, with all your needs. There is a pretty big open-air swimming pool, where you can relax during your free time. Main restaurant buffet is quite rich, both for breakfast and dinner. Hotel position is really comfortable and there is a n underground stop just in front.
I stayed here for two nights while on business. The staff was very accommodating during check-in and even upgraded my room! The front entrance and lobby have very unique decor, but the rooms are more plain. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were stocked with good quality toiletries. Make sure you spend time at the pool while you're there, especially at night. If I travel to Shenzhen again I will definitely be back!
Excellent for a business stay. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly and the food excellent. The decor is charming and overall I enjoyed my stay. There was one point that I didn’t like. Every evening I popped down to the pool to swim before dinner. On the last day I was told I had to wear a hair net (I have short hair but whatever...). I was directed to the gym who tried to sell me a hair net. Huh? I was wearing the complimentary robe, slippers etc but I had to buy a hair net? Not cheap either. Err.... left a less than 100% experience feel in what had been otherwise an excellent stay.
I was here for work for 3 weeks and it was a very nice hotel. The room service was 24 hours which was very good as I finished work very late so it was nice to have that available to me. The room itself was fine, if dated. I don’t know if the rooms are due a renovation soon but they could definitely do with one. Some of my colleagues had rooms with balconies, that’s definitely something I’d ask for if I were you. Near the hotel there are plenty of amenities, the mall is excellent with plenty of western options available to you. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If I returned to Shenzhen I’d definitely stay here again
