Lovely hotel in quiet location. Food quality was great. Staff very helpful, English only spoken by a few. Google Translate covers most issues. 5 mins walk to subway station. The subway is the fastest and best way to get around from this hotel.
The rooms are really big and cleaned every day but the interior is very outdated. The tv is very small (no english channels) and the airco isn't working properly. The bathroom is also very clean. The hotel is located just outside the Golden coast shopping mall (15 min walk) and next to a stadium. Because of the close distance of the shopping mall, taxi's won't come to the hotel to pickup guest. Even the friendly reception says you have to walk. We were upgraded to an executive room on the executive floor and enjoyed an free high tea :D The breakfast is divers and very good. So, except for the outdated furniture and location we had a pleasant stay here.
What a nice hotel! Rooms are very big (40m2), large windows, all ammenities including designer bath. Quiet. One could compain about the views but it is in a district where new houses are being built up, so nothing to do. Close to Shenzhen Sports park and seaside promenade.
Hotel area is very nice (despite being under construction). Great view. Gym is very nice and complete. Food (including breakfast and dinner) is ok, good quality and variety. I only recommend to reinforce the English speaking staff. Hotel room is big and comfortable, and very quiet. I do recommend it.
We went there with 3 friends for dinner. Easy to reach by taxi, subway 700m. The best is to come here for early dinner (service finish at 09:30pm). 1st before going to the 21st floor, enjoy the surroundings of the Hotel. Then ask for a table with Seaview/HK view... when sun is going down, the view is changing and you will enjoy a perfect dinner with a delicately cooking. 440rmb for 5 peoples with this view and taste... it s a bargain. Before leaving, do not forget to check the library on your left. Enjoy !
Enjoyed Great Service, Beautiful rooms, Wonderful Staff! Awesome experience. The property was just what we were looking for in that it was boutique. this place was amazing will definitely come back...
Room is spacious and clean, bath room is big but strangely designed with the blind outside the bath room Noise from the outside construction is disturbing Reception is not friendly Overall service very average for such expensive hotel
Over prices room full of cigarette smell . The Staff with very poor English With 0 Motivation to help . The Resturant is waste of your time and money but since the only Option near by is KFC I had no choice . This was my 25 th time In Shenzhen thought to try something new big but big mistake Huge one !
This hotel very nearly deserves 5 stars, and is an excellent choice if you need to be near the Shenzhen Bay sports complex. It is also only 5 or 6 minutes from Coastal City via cab, and about that amount to the Shenzhen Bay crossing check point (into Hong Kong). If your primary reason for visiting is to shop in Shenzhen, or if you will need easy access to Hong Kong, you might consider a property closer to the heart of the city, as we were about a 20+ minute cab ride to Commercial City, and to the Lo Wu crossing check point, where you could take either a train or subway line into Hong Kong - which I found easier than the Buses & Taxis offered at the Shenzhen Bay crossing. The room was quite nice, very clean, and the bathroom was beautifully designed in black marble, with separate bath, shower, and toilet. One quibble: I found the lighting at the sink a bit dim, and cut my face shaving. There was a mini fridge in the room, along with TV, bathrobes and slippers, and a very comfy bed. I was impressed with the quietness of the room, except for one night when some sort of siren alarm went off - possibly at a neighboring construction site. When I called the front desk, they immediately offered to move me, however I declined, put in ear plugs, and was able to get back to sleep. There was a lot of seemingly stalled construction all around the hotel, which could potentially offer a noise problem if/when work resumes. The restaurant on the 21st floor was very scenic, and offered a truly fabulous breakfast, which was included in my room package. The gym was totally fine as well, with both machines and free weights. The lobby bar, which seemed a strange mix of bookstore/lounge - was a major disappointment. While there were comfortable places to sit, it had incredibly slow service, and no real bar. For instance, you ordered from an iPad a shot of vodka in a glass, and then a separate can of tonic water to fashion a do-it-yourself cocktail. Lame. The staff was very friendly, and attempted to be helpful; however, with rare exception, the lack of English skills was a real limitation, and lacking a concierge with good English language skills would be one of the factors leading me to rate this property a 4 out of 5 rating.
I was forced to look for hotels nearby the Coastal City as my fav hotel was fully booked for 3 nights. So i decided to try this establishment after my 2nd choice was way over my budget. Due to some tight schedule and arrangements, i made a quick booking to lock down the booking before I maybe forced to stay further away from Coastal City. Thought I saw there were food and shopping establishments very nearby... but was not so after i checked in and decided to move around.... LOCATION & VIEW Quiet, only tall building in this area, giving you quite a view around the sports complex. I have taken some photos but i couldn't find them as I cannot add into my review. As mentioned, i did see a few establishments around but as told the nearest place to go will be Coastal City which I suggest to hire a taxi instead of walking there. ROOM Awed by the room size and design. Toilet (WC) was separated (has its own door) from the bath room. A larger full sized bath tub will greet you once you slide the bathroom door open. I love the great pressurized shower and rain shower!! King size bed, good sized LCD TV, a round working desk and lounge sofa filled the room. There is a small walk-in wardrobe area with sliding door, nicely designed to let you hang your clothes and ample area to put your folded clothes too. There are two AC outlet located near but not too near the bed, so that you can charged your devices and they are within reach while you are in bed. (they have designed it this way, I am impressed by their thoughtfulness, not many hotels will do that) BREAKFAST They offered 100RMB (special rate) for breakfast but i didn't take breakfast there as I have meetings around Coastal City area. DINNING The nearest restaurants are located within the hotel but i have all my meals all outside of the hotel. So no comments. EXPERIENCE, COMPLAINS and COMMENTS Overall I am awed by the establishment, staff are very friendly, room and view was great, only negative is no nearby amenities that's why I gave 4 out of 5 rating. May return to try this hotel again, if only I ran out of options.
