The property was nice, the description stated it was a 2 bedroom but in reality it was 2 beds, 1 bedroom, and a bed in the living area. the sectional was uncomfortable to even sit on. The Queen beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked but the elec stove did not work very well, could not even bring a pot to boil. Pretty sure it stated there was a free breakfast but there was not, I just wanted some coffee because I somehow left mine at home. Would stay again but not in the same room until sectional is updated.

We booked a 2 night stay in the hotel but were able to upgrade to a studio cabin. The cabin overall was in good condition however there were a few details that really put a negative tone on our 20th Wedding Anniversary trip. We found an old hair roller under the bed, the heater stopped working the first night and we woke up to a freezing room. The lobby receptionist did offer an electric heater but didn't seem to care all that much that our heat was out and said the maintenance guy would be there by 10am. We left that morning at about 10:30am for about 3 hours to get breakfast and site see and when we came back to our room the heater was fixed but we had also asked for service on our room but it was not completed. We asked about the service and the receptionist non nonchalantly said that "she hasn't gotten to it yet". We asked for a couple extra towels and about 30 mins later a woman showed up with 2 towels in a trash bag and handed it to us. The Shaver Lake Village Hotel is very nice overall however for the price you pay definitely don't expect to be pampered.

While this is not a luxury hotel, in that it’s in a small mountain city, it was genuinely an incredibly charming experience to stay here. To begin with, we arrived earlier then expected for a wedding and the staff bent over backwards to speedily get our room clean (we went up the street to get a coffee and came back to it being done). Every time we walked by any staff member we were greeted with a warm smile and hello. The room itself was very clean, comfortable, had a cozy cabin feel albeit a little dated. The continental breakfast was a nice perk. If you’re staying in Shaver Lake I would highly recommend you stay here- we certainly would again.

Fantastic stay. Super friendly staff. Immaculately clean rooms. Will stay here again!

Check-in was great. However, at 1am an RV pulled up to the hotel. The occupants of the RV were making a lot of noise. We called to complain about the noise and the hotel assured us they would take care of it, but they did nothing. After calling a second time to the hotel after hours line and receiving no help we called the local sheriff who came out and made the party in the RV quiet down. By this time, it was 2:45am. We were disappointed that more action was not take on the part of the hotel during the night. Finally, at 8am in the morning, when the hotel manager arrived, the people with the RV (who were cooking breakfast in the parking lot, complete with pots and pans!) were asked to leave the premises. When we brought all of this to the attention of the wait staff during check out all we got in return was "sorry about that." It would have been nice to hear them say, for the sake of future stays with us, we will look into the matter to make sure it does not happen again. After all, why stay in a hotel if you are unable to get a good night's rest?

Staff was nice, coffee awful, . No A/C in any of the rooms. temp in town 98-99. It would be an OK place if you do not have any handicaps.

The room was a bit outdated but nice. I would like to stress to anyone staying in the summer that the rooms do not have a/c. Even though it was unseasonably hot when we were there a fan was just fine. Hotel was within walking distance of food and drinks. We had an overall enjoyable experience.

This lodge is like staying at a relative's cabin in the woods. A bit rustic, but not too much. Very convenient location in Shaver. Right next to Ken's market, which is really convenient. Close to the lake and just down the road only 18 miles and 20 to 25 minutes from China Peak Ski Resort. The people at the lodge were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
