The property itself was up to date and what you would expect from a tiny house. The low rating is related to the management company as well as the location of the property being in the back parking lot of a market.
We arrived at 11PM to find that there was no running water at the property. There were 3 contact numbers to call which we did with no answer, voice mails were left. We also messaged through the VRBO app with no reply. After confirming the water main was on, we decided to stay the night as there were no other options. The next morning we went through the same process in attempts to contact someone from the property management company (Guest Equity) with no success. On our investigation, we learned there was a problem with the well on the property from a local and that it would take a minimum of 2 days to repair. Luckily, we were able to rent another place close by for the remainder of our vacation.
We continued attempts to contact the management company of the property throughout the day by all methods available including the VRBO app with no response. On day 3, I was able to contact the Guest Equity management company but only because I selected the option on their phone system of wanting to list a property with them. After the situation was explained, they began the process a refund for the vacation.
Based on my experience, I would not rent any property where Guest Equity is the management company.
