Poor Communication and Unpleasant Stay
This list details the pros and cons of the apartment we stayed at. I will list the cons first, as they far outweigh the pros in my opinion, however I will still list a few pros to be fair to the Host.
Cons:
- Poor Communication from Host. No check in information given prior to visit. Upon arrival, a man on a scooter yelled some instructions to us and pointing in various directions before driving away. Most of it we understood, but we could not find the keys. After 45 minutes, we were sent a photo which helped immensely. They were in a lockbox hanging inconspicuously from a pole 10 meters away from the door.
- No toilet paper. We arrived and there was no toilet paper in the apartment; we unfortunately found out the hard way. After a couple of messages to the host, they told us to look in different places to no avail. They confirmed some would be brought the next day. None was brought, we eventually went out and purchased our own.
- Leaking Air Conditioner. We awoke on our last morning prior to check out and found that the air conditioner had been leaking all night, leaving a large puddle of water on the floor and a substantial amount of water on the overhead shelf. We immediately used all of our towels to mop up the water, and a waste basket to catch any further dripping. After alerting the Host, the only response was a “thanks,” with no offer for someone to come help to resolve the issue.
Pros: Good Hairdryer, Great Location, Provided Soap for Shower
