Shopping is right down the road! From the Five Oaks Mall and the Scrapbook Super Store (the largest in the USA), to the Christmas Store, to Goats on the Roof and the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts loop, you won’t be lacking for a varied shopping experience.



Dining choices are varied from the chains of Red Lobster and Olive Garden to the local Applewood Farmhouse (featuring apple dishes and fritters) and the Old Mill which has delicious corn chowder with corn fritters. And the newest tourist destination is The Island, a walking plaza with amusements, great shopping and restaurants like Margaritaville and Paula Deens. At the Dixie Stampede – a Dollywood production- you receive a feast plus a show! And Dolly's new Pirates show is fun and exciting too.



The main attraction is the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with its numerous and varied outdoor activities. The Cades Cove area offers horseback riding and a sightseeing loop which is open only to bicycles (which can be rented) on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The cabin was clean, cozy and perfect for a couple. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. The only con was the stairway leading down to the lake/dock, there are A LOT of stairs. I have bad knees so I didn’t venture down but I was looking forward to drinking morning coffee on the lakefront. Still, the views were lovely from the back deck and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Mountain getaway

We had a great time staying in the wilderness. It was quiet , peacefully, and relaxing...just what our souls needed. The fishing was good, the steps are tough. The only thing we were missing was a campfire to sit around everything worked as it should. We will come again.

Short getaway

My husband and I loved every second and would love to have stayed longer! Great place, very private, beautiful scenery, and lots of things to do in the area! The only issue was the mattress. It was uncomfortable and way overdue for replacement. This made for unrestful sleep and a sore back.

Great Vacation/Honeymoon

We came down to the area from Wisconsin to get married on Halloween. We thought renting this cabin would be perfect for our honeymoon and give us the chance to experience The Smokey Mountains. The property was beautiful and the location was great! The cabin was clean and all ready for us when we checked in. Everything was perfect! The scenery where the cabin is was breathtaking. We had all the essentials we needed and really only needed to buy food. I highly recommend renting this cabin and we will definitely be back. There were no problems and the check in and check out were very easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!?

Disappointment

I have pictures to back up what I mention. The steps down to deck are so overgrown with brush they were creepy. The front side walk lined with rose bushes over grown. The kuerig didnt work because of a descale error, which means dirty. Shower door doesnt close and sink in bathroom, the cold side feels like ots about to fall off at any moment.Recliner was broken, and lint filter hadn't been cleaned in several loads.
