Hotel was very clean and the facilities were excellent. Special thanks to Sally Lee and Lily Lee at the reception for being so accommodating, helpful and nice! However, not all reception staff were smiley and nice. Please do not think all your guests are unable to speak the Korean although I'm a foreigner and refrain from unnecessary comments since I do understand you. Location was slightly out of the way and there were no buses, the train was a good 8-10 minutes away but all being said lovely neighbourhood with egg stop, issac toasts, starbucks, lottemart all within the area. I enjoyed my stay and might come back again soon.

always a good choice

I used to staying in this hotel for months. I always choose to stay in Citadines whenever I go Korea for business. The room is spacious and I feel like home. Though many of the helpful staff I knew have left, I still like the hotel

Most disappointing

I chose this hotel because it is reasonably priced. Rooms were spacious and location, though quiet, is convenient with just a 5 miminsns walk to the train station. Unfortunately, my week long stay was marred by a most unpleasant incident where the gym was coverted into a function room and closed to guests. This is not acceptable. Guests pay to rest well in their rooms and use the necessary facilities. It is not right when a hotel decides to close a facility, unless it is due to a safety issue. What is most disappointing was the service attitude of the staff on this matter. They were neither apologetic nor keen to attempt any form of service recovery. The least the staff could have done was to inform guests duly during check-in and have notices in the lobby and rooms. A gym for some guests, especially during winter, is important. Eugene, the front team leader, clearly does not appreciate this simple fact. In fact, he was unaware that the gym is even closed and why it was closed. Needless to say, he did not even have the basic service courtesy to find out when it will reopened. His response to this matter was not just indifferent. It was plain rude. Citadines prides itself as a home away from home. I like to inform them that what I experienced is far from home.

The bed sheets and duvet cover were not super clean. They are ok but not satisfying. I also put up the sign to not clean my room. The staff cleaned my room anyway AND the cleaning staff threw away my contact lense case (it is blue and look a bit like a water bottle cap). Not very happy with the experience and the staff was not very apologetic.

I wanted to like this place, but things fell short for me, overall, and I don't think I would return. -The room: It's clean, but that's just about it. The room was much smaller than I had thought. All the furniture pieces and appliances were put into odd places to fit into that small room -- you'd find a microwave right above your head when you're sitting at the desk (I bumped my head into the shelf multiple times while getting up from the chair!) or a wardrobe would be placed high above the refrigerator (I couldn't use it without a chair or a ladder). -The view: The view was supposed to be a "city view" looking across the beautiful Han river. In reality, the only thing I saw was a construction site that completely blocked your view. -The location: Even for someone like myself who knows how to get around Seoul quite easily, the location was definitely an inconvenience, although you could get by with nearby bus stops and the subway station. Many of the hotel guests, it turned out, were group tourists from China, Thailand, and the Philippines, who seemed to be using chartered buses. A couple of things I actually enjoyed were the fact that Seonyudo Park was very close and that there was a night market inside the apartment estate across the street. For the price, it was ok, but I don't think I would return. By the way, I wouldn't recommend adding a breakfast option because there is a price discrepancy between what is offered on Expedia and the actual menu.

Overall this hotel is very good either room comfortable or clean. Including service and staff. (Even some staff not much friendly face) But one thing that make us very happy is bed which is very comfortable :) By the way, I didn't book breakfast but you offer us a coupon which we can grab some snack (brown bag) in the morning, Honestly I feel impress. But when I grab in restaurant. It's not look good at all and seem like a snack with coffee break that you provide for your meeting guest and feel like an expired snack. Luckily that we are not serious about this. So would be better for your hotel if we suggest you to offer %discount or credit for breakfast for guest who book Room only like us. Which make your hotel more value than offer us a snack set. Anyway, hope this review can help and have a good day.

Great hotel, location poor.

Hotel was great. Local area OK but a long way from any Seoul centre, and a 15 min walk from subway. Roof garden very disappointing compared with other Citadines we have stayed at. No tables and chairs, just some wooden benches. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Clean functional European-style hotel

Clean functional European-style hotel with a great service. Loved it! Rooms have even microwave! The only drawback is that there aren’t much around the hotel in terms of restaurants and other conveniences.

A wonderfully located "hidden gem!"

What a "hidden gem" this lovely, modern hotel is! Newly built, in a great location in Seoul, it is crisp, clean and modern. Very reasonably priced. When I reserved a room for us many months ago, I requested a quiet room on an upper floor, which is exactly what they gave us. Wow! Wonderful, friendly staff, and several small excellent Korean restaurants are located right across the street. We highly recommend this hotel.
