Everything was ok, the hotel design is really nice, the finishes, the style, the location, the breakfast.. except one problem...!! The weather in the streets is about 30C and inside the hotel is like 35C or it feels even warmer.. is like a Sauna or an oven.. i dont understand if people have cold when its 30C outside but the whole hotel feels like the heaters were on..the AC in the rooms doesnt work and temperature dont go below 26C, 24C if you get lucky.. same thing in the lobby and the restaurant...the only place where temperature is kind of ok is in the elevators so probably the best that could happen is to get stuck in the elevator.
With such location, the hotel is good enough: the design of the bathroom is quite nice! the room is small but enough to use. The olnly problem is the noise filtering: you can see every noise from neighboring rooms. Hope that the hotel can improve the wall's noise-blocking function.
The room is cozy, OK small but perfectly adequate. The shower room was as good as I've ever had in a five star hotel. Many of the tourist attractions of Seoul are within walking distance and there are two subway stations close by too. The hotel appears themed for Koreans in that there is no milk for the tea or coffee! But there are a couple of English language channels on the TV. As the internet connections are excellent I was able to stream English language news programs on my phone and screen share them to the room's large smart TV. Very satisfied with my stay.
#1: When providing a comment card for your guest, always make sure that you either have an English copy AND Korean copy. #2: TV channels/receptions are not working. I found it during my last night as I found the time to watch, but it failed. #3: Breakfast is really limited. So when you get to stay longer, never avail the breakfast unless you’re not a picky eater. #4: The breakfast receptionists who checked for names are quite rude. #5: Their household staff are excellent. #6: They need to teach the staffs to be more welcoming. Guess what the household staff are more courteous than the rest of the staffs. All in all, I would have to rate it as 3/5. If there were no household staffs, I would have to rate it 2. 😂
As per title. Breakfast ended at 9.30am. I have been to hotels all over the world in Europe, Asia, US, this is the first hotel I encountered ends its breakfast at 9.30 am instead of the usual 10am. Laundry wise, usually, the housekeeper will collect from the guest room, and a guest will simply accepts what's calculated by the hotel, and leaves the "guest count" blank in the laundry form. In this case, I was not only asked to bring it down to the front desk, and forced to count in front of the front guest officer. This norm has to be fixed as it is causing inconveniences, the fact that the dirty clothes need to be already tells a lot that nobody will want to dirty their hands and count them one by one including their underwear, let alone counting it at the front desk! Is a fantastically clean hotel with nice big rooms and bathtub. And the location is convenient to restaurants, convenience stores and MRT.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Two double beds felt like a luxury. The bathroom is also large and includes a tub. Full-sized bath towels are provided. The hotel is conveniently located near the US Embassy, Gwanghwamun Palace, and many other sites. My son loved the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for only 20 won. All of the staff was friendly, although we found it a little hard to get the attention of the servers in the restaurant. We weren't clear if it was a language barrier or if they were giving us a little too much space. The food was worth the wait, though.
Overall good. Modern lobby and rooms, clean and tidy. Quiet. Fitness center is small but functional. Good free Wifi. Biggest problem was that rooms were too hot (81F) even with the AC running at maxmium. I understand that may be due to an energy conservation policy affecting a lot of korean hotels. The front desk was able to change my room for one that was at 75F (still warm but sleepable) but didn't offer an explanation or apology for the hot rooms. Also, this is not a full service.hotel..so don't expect that.. There's no doorman - so you're own your own getting a taxi and the Airport Limo bus does not stop at or even nearby the hotel. So, you'll have to taxi to Seoul Station or to a limo bus stop such as the Koreana hotel to hop on the limo bus. Overall good experience and value and would stay there again.
This hotel is predominantly a business hotel but that aside it has all the comforts to make it an enjoyable stay. Overall very clean, with great English speaking service and in an ideal location for those heading to the business district as well being walking distance from many of the central Seoul attractions. Metro stops are also close by for when planning to visit somewhere located a bit further out. Only negative was the room A/C would not get to lower temperature due to being centralised in the building so that made it difficult at times due the humidity but overall a great stay!
good location and resonable rate with good people but incredibly busy at check in n out so better contact fd avoiding busy time if u want to get some information also get some coffee from fd using coffee coupons
This hotel is close to everything you want to see in Seoul. You can take an airport limousine (6002) for 10,000 Won (about $10) and walk a few blocks. It is a beautiful hotel, very clean and spacious rooms. Staff is welcoming and accommodating. Every time I come to Seoul this is my go-to place. The lunch buffet also has diverse and plentiful offerings. You simply cannot go wrong with this hotel.
