Nice big swimming pool. Close to restaurants and shopping. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms.
Excellent location, staff & amenities. Near Jongno 3 ga station, where 3 subway lines can be accessed. A Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and a nice Korean restaurant are just downstairs. Lots of other coffee shops (Starbucks, Holly's Coffee, Angel-in-us, etc.), fast food (Lotteria, Burger King, KFC, etc.) and restaurants of different cuisines right in the neighborhood. Insadong is the culture & arts district, so although somewhat touristy, still charming with some old school flavor Seoul. I did not use the swimming pool or sauna b/c I don't like to swim or sit in saunas. But the hours were very convenient. They also offer a shuttle bus to some key shopping areas & points of interest (which I believe is complimentary). Overall a great experience & great value!
Good location and comfortable. But the free sauna is very small( just 3 shower booth).
I am a long time traveler to Seoul and typically stay at another aparthotel which was booked on my needed day. So I booked at the Orakai Insadong Suites for one night, in large part because of the stellar reviews. If you are all about location, this is the place. I agree, the location is great. For me, the location was not so important - rather, was looking more for a well appointed room for a short business trip. My room was directly across a construction site and had to suffer the sound of drills and hammering throughout the day and into the evening. I was surprised that I had to pay 15,000 won for wifi. I was also disappointed that there was no bottled water, which is standard for Korea (indeed, every hotel at which I have stayed has offered free bottled water). Lastly, if you ask the front desk to call you a taxi, they will only call the more expensive "black car" service. In fact, it would be very easy for the staff to use a Korean app called Kakao Taxi to help their guests - other hotels have done that for me. The staff is very very friendly, but they are implementing policies that demonstrate a lack of consideration for the guests. The policies are the problem, not the staff. Not all hotels in Seoul implement such policies and I would encourage management to strive for more friendliness and consideration of its foreign guests. I will not be staying here again. Mediocre value for money given all of the other lodging options in Seoul.
This was our annual/semi-annual, 13th year stay at this hotel, formerly Fraser Suites and now Orakai Suites. It has a great location at the most famous tourist street in Seoul, Korea, clean & large suites, and secure setting. We have been always happy with this residence hotel.
Perfectly situated in Insandong but very run down hotel. Rooms are spaciously comfortable and have all you might need in the kitchen. We had a great view of the city. But the interior of the hotel itself and room service/ cleaning were awful. Ultimately, the hotel has a lot of potential but a long way to go...
Excellent location. Shopping and eating places only steps away.
Overall had a good experience, close to major attractions, helpful staffs Would stay again
The Fraser Insadong is a great place to stay to be near many of the tourist attractions of Seoul. There are also many reasonable restaurants nearby, along with many tourist-oriented shops. Rooms are spacious and clean. One drawback; they charged an outrageous $14 per day for Wi-Fi! There was the implication that a direct booking would get free internet.
Great location and rooms that have been nicely updated. We had one hot day and the building hadn't switched to cooling mode (doesn't start until May usually), which made the night a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise no complaints.
Orakai Insadong Suites places you in Jongno, within a leisurely stroll of popular sights such as Myeongdong Street and Cheonggyecheon. Each of the 213 rooms at this 4-star aparthotel includes a kitchen, a living room, and a refrigerator.
For your convenience, a continental breakfast is served for a fee on weekdays from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM and on weekends from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Each apartment features a kitchen and space to spread out with a separate bedroom and a living room. A flat-screen TV comes with cable channels, and guests can stay connected with WiFi. The bathroom offers hair dryers, free toiletries, slippers, and bathrobes. Other standard amenities include an electric kettle, a rice cooker, and a safe. Limited housekeeping is available.
Orakai Insadong Suites features an indoor pool, WiFi in public areas, and a meeting room. If you drive, self parking is KRW 25000 per night, and there's also an airport shuttle. The front desk is staffed 24/7 to help with dry cleaning/laundry, concierge services, and luggage storage. Additional amenities include a 24-hour business center, laundry facilities, and a banquet hall.
Nice big swimming pool. Close to restaurants and shopping. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms.
